Black seems to be the color of choice for masks. I'm not surprised.

Just got my first book in almost 4 months, from the re-opened public library! They have outdoor pickup, and online requests only. I missed having the library.

How are people doing haircut-wise? I use electric clippers on myself. Maybe that's why I get those funny looks from people.

Bought some toilet paper last week. I'm glad the mad rush is over.

Scary-quiet on the streets this weekend. Still scary-stupid people out there. We're all supposed to be wearing masks, but there's still some idiots.

Bottom line for the most vunerable, they are still the most vunerable ..and to reduce risk, shud stick to avoiding people like before. Ive got elderly aunts, and if i visit them i stay in garden, keep over 2m distance, take my own picnic n flask and risk upsetting them even if i have to refuse cake (which is so difficult!).. Some people take the piss and think its overkill, but i take the view, not on my watch. Just TRY getting humans to do something not like what everybody else does; people look at those who do, like they're freaks. How do I know? I likely get more of those looks than most.

The local free weekly newspaper used to be 70-80 pages. Now it is down to a slender 16.

I've done a good job on my hair twice now. I think I might keep it up from now on. I can put the money I save towards a cd/dvd. I might even go into my usual barbers and say ' oh never mind ' and walk out again, ha!

Article in the Hollywood Reporter says that the pandemic is likely to drive small and medium-sized movies from the theaters and leave them the sole province of blockbusters: "Ironically, one industry movement this tentpole-light summer may speed up is the future dominance of the tentpole, as moviegoers determine that only big-budget event films are worth sitting through in a mask. "A trend that will accelerate is blockbusterization," says Imax CEO Rich Gelfond. "There will be a lot more blockbusters than mid-range movies."
