Whenever there is an attack on a stronghold by gunman/police whatever, after the first guards are shot, the whole building would be alerted. But as the attackers move from room to room, despite more gunshots, in each subsequent room, have they grabbed their weapons ready? No! they are still messing with the coffee pot or still playing cards or watching a football match on tv, and get shot easily, coz they only react and reach for weapons as the attackers come in the room. Ive seen this so many times.

Ive seen this so many times. Classic example in Predator, when after several minutes' worth of noisy action, Arnie kicks open the door of a room with two guys just sitting there, and is like, "Knock-knock!" before blowing them away.
