Sounds like very brief wobble in the analog tape speed, right? At least that's what it sounds like to me. I can't say I'd noticed it until pointed out. Cheers

Sounds like master tape issues to me. Tapes are not getting better with age (and particularly those of the 1970s and 1980s). Considering the sad story of many UMG master tapes, it may very well be that the elements housed at Universal Pictures were the only option for this title - no chance to fill in from an alternate source.

Mine has the glitch as well. It's not a "pop" or anything. As described above, it's a "wobble" in the music for about half a second.

From the description, it sounds very like a glitch heard on the Star Trek: Voyager - Volume 2 set - on disc three, track 15, "Kim and Doc Plan in Corridor", about 2.55 into the track, there's a marked brief instance of warble, as if the machine running the tape abruptly changed speed, either during recording or transfer, or the tape momentarily snagged. It's not wow, per se, just a second-long error in speed, almost as if the tape is about to chew, but recovers - similar glitches occur on David Arnold's Shaft release (from memory, during the album take of Dominican Chase, for one). As they were both Paramount licenced releases, I wondered if it was not perhaps an anomaly of the tape stock or machines Paramount were using during that period. But, as Somewhere in Time is Universal, perhaps it's a more widespread, age-related issue.

Excuse my possible stupidity if I missed something but Somewhere In Time doesn't seem to be on Lalaland's website. Has it been withdrawn? I was just about to get it. It's out of stock. I looked at my old order from July, and it says "This product cannot be reordered because it's out of stock."

I was going to add this to a big order to LLL but couldn't find it anywhere. I had to look up this thread to see where the heck it was. Odd that there is no listing of it at all. It's a shame there are out of stock titles, and also titles that are not on sale. I most likely would have ordered another 3 releases.
