bigjimwilson and TG, Aldi have got those rum liqueurs on offer for £5.99 a bottle. They also had a Chocolate/Orange flavour rum liqueur (I bought two bottles, just in case) and a Cranberry, Pear and Cinnamon flavoured vodka liqueur, that Carole drooled over, so I bought one of those too. We sat in the garden earlier and polished off a few glasses in the sun (she added a dash of tonic to her vodka over ice drink). Me, I blasted through 3 glasses on the rocks in quick smart time and I've got a suitable bank holiday buzz on right now. Get them while they last. God bless Aldi. I've got one in walking distance. Might go for a walk tomorrow

I'm afraid it will be a couple of weeks to the next one, at least for me. This upcoming Friday, I'm hoping to host a Zoom get-together for the folks over on Maintitles, and the Friday after that I'm taking it extremely easy due to a big (well, "big" relatively speaking in these Corona times) outdoors summer party on Saturday. But I'm sure Stephen's meetings are chugging along nicely (I've tried them a couple of times, and not sure they're for me), so you can always join them in the meantime. As it's basically summer now, and restrictions are lifted all over the world, spending warm nights in front of a PC screen indoors becomes less tempting, but I'm sure we'll sneak a few more in there.

Understood. These have been fun chats. I will miss them. I wonder if there is interest in continuing the drinkers' chats in Thor's absence.

Yes, I'm interested in continuing the drinkers' chat, but in Thor's absence who would set it up? It's far too complex a business for me, especially when rat-arsed.

I would like to rectify something I said last night. Due to the intake of wine, I cited Alice Cooper as a big influence, aside from soundtracks, in my formative years. He wasn't. Well, he was - but only through my friends, who were listening to him. The same goes for every other pop/rock/classical (sick) group. I never chose to like them. I just followed what others were doing. I was the one who had to pretend I was a dedicated follower of fashion, just to spare myself the ignominy of admitting that I only really identified with music for horror films. It wasn't until I was about 50 that I started to branch out into really appreciating people like Miles Davis, The Kinks (I saw the documentary last week), Rotten Johnny and Syd Spittle. I promise to be more genuine in the next chat. Can we have one tonight? I want to rectify a few more things I said under the pressure of my wine-beer cocktails and the sense of self-importance that the TV camera gave last night.
