There is about seven seconds of silence between the end of the "Closing Credits" and the start of the source music. That should be plenty of time for you to reach for the remote control. smile

Wait, what about us throwbacks who have to get up to press buttons on the CD player?

Gonna make us exercise how dare you?

Actually we're already up turning the volume knobs anyway.

Never mind

Mine has shipped already. That's some kind of record. Mind, at $20 shipping (used to be able to buy discs for that, and I know it's not La La's fault, so no negs at them) I'd expect it to arrive with trumpets and banners. Just hope HMRC aren't Horner fans on the hunt to intercept fresh expansions, 'cuz if they do this is going to be one helluva expensive Grail.

Same here. Oh well. What's a couple of more weeks? Looking forward to giving both a spin.

I’ll be playing 10 minutes from this on my show tonight if anyone would like to listen in live from 7pm (U.K.)

Never thought I'd hear the Glory End Titles playing on the radio. Bravo, I enjoyed that, and welcomed the opportunity to hear an alternate track.

Their promotional piece for Stripes said: "Expanded and Remastered Limited Edition CD Release, September 14 2021".
Maybe it should have said "Orders accepted from September 14 2021, for release date of September 28 2021".
A release date used to mean the day the record stores would have the item in stock for customers to come and buy. Sometimes there would be lines outside Tower Records or wherever, with fans knowing the release date was the day they could get their hands on the disc.
These days, a release date is sometimes just the day for customers to release their money, with the item remaining unavailable till a few weeks later.

Received it today and have been listening for hours, it's fantastic, thanks!

Only thing not sure about is 'The Decision / Second Flashback' not sure why 'Second Flashback' had to be appended here, the end of 'The Decision' is such as emotional release, gets me every time, especially knowing scene in movie, and Second Flashback is like a thump out of now-where, before going into lonely Christmas,

This is nitpicking of highest order! sounds is great, and alternates are great experience, I'll be listening to this over for long time to come!

"The Decision" is R3P2 which was to be followed by R4P1 ("Second Flashback"). "Second Flashback" is only twenty seconds and we didn't want that by itself.

The film version of Glory is thankfully a very different listening experience than the soundtrack album. It is richer and more textured, providing a stronger emotional experience when listening to it. The sound is outstanding as well. Great job to everyone involved!

Glory and The Eiger Sanction are my two favorite releases of the year.
