A lot cooler, today. I even had my fleece zipped up.

Noah's just sailed past, again. This time he waved.

I read that it's a bit hot in Japan. This from the BBC:

Tokyo charted temperatures above 35C on Wednesday for a fifth straight day, marking the worst documented streak of hot weather in June since records started in 1875.

Meanwhile, the city of Isesaki, north-west of the capital, saw a record 40.2C - the highest temperature ever recorded in June for Japan.

Sizzlin'. As Irving would say- blue skies. I'm sitting on the garden having a drink. Listening to the sound of children crying, in the distance. It doesn't get any better.

I was down in Dorset for the weekend, & very nice weather, back now & it's a bit hotter around London. It looks like a very sunny week ahead, but by next week I'm sure I'll be cheesed off with it. Meanwhile it's shorts & a sunhat, my hair's a bit thin on top these days & the bonce burns very easily.

...I wish it wasn't quite so warm at night.

Getting set for a sizzler in the next day or two. Might have to take my fleece off, soon. There's going to be plenty of arse chafing going on. And an increase in the sale of vaseline.

It's currently a nice sunny 86°F/30°F, but it's morning still, and it's expected to go up to 95°F today. Tomorrow, weather in Cologne, Germany is supposed to go up to 40°C/104°F, which would make it the hottest day of the year so far. Fortunately, it so happens that tomorrow I will spend the latter part of the day on a lake stand-up-paddling, with ice-cold drinks nearby, so it's a good coincidence. I don't mind hot weather if there's an ocean or a cool lake around to swim in. smile

Using official terminology, it's a 'tad' on the warm side...

And a smidgen here. It was 34° in the van. Then I moved the van and it dropped to 29°.

It got a tad warmer today as expected, it is currently 38°C/100°F. Still fine, as it's a dry heat and not humid. I don't mind heat, it's cold I can't stand. :-)

There's a colony of giant hogweed nearby, which can be quite dangerous (or at the very least very painful) when you touch them (and there is sunlight), leaving ugly scars and marks. The colony's been growing over the years (nobody seems to take care of it), and some of them have grouped up to a gang of thugs who wait for passerby.

God, that was a very hot & incredibly sticky night, & it's looks like the same again tonight. The second day of the big heat in the UK, but it doesn't look like London is going to make it to that magic 40 degrees as was predicted. It'll be interesting to see if any part of of England reach 40 today.

Lucky bloody you!

I’m in Middlesbrough on business, long trousers, long sleeves (but no tie or jacket) and it’s hot AF.

On the plus side, just bought The Batman on 4K at the local HMV...

Scorching. Had to knock off posting around 11.45 because it was too hot. We were told if it reaches 35° then we had to return to the office. Something to do with postmen melting at that temp!

If anything today is hotter than yesterday (it feels a lot hotter), but it can only be a couple of degrees. Heathrow Airport hit 40 & it's not that far away from me. I was at my sisters house a couple of weeks ago & she asked if I wanted to take their mobile air condition unit (they'd just bought the proper job), & I said, na, I won't need that. What a silly sod.
