Epic.

Nearly a year old.

Can't believe I'm listening to this

and I still remember the pandemonium in this very board resulted after the official announcement of the Intrada Clash of the Titans release. A real madhouse.

" Another fantastic release and a great score. Totally different to what Herrmann, for example would have done, but entirely fitting to the film and a great listening experience, with the complexity that you don't often get in scores at the moment [compare it with the remake score-urgh!!]"

" Please elaborate on the Herrmann remark"
---------------------------
I would guess he's referring to how Rosenthal tackled the subject matter when compared to Herrmann, who also scored some Harryhausen films.

Hey, Soop, thanks for this! You had indicated it was your first attempt at a track-by-track comparison. Can you tell me: a) if you have exact times where some of these tracks should be cut off or started to duplicate the LP program?; b) which tracks on the original CD differ from the original LP or were not on the original LP?

I'm finally giving this 2-disc set the attention it deserves.

After a long hiatus I listened to this again - and immediately was reminded of why I was loving this score so much back then when the film was released.

Film scores in the 80´s were so magnificent.

Yes ..its amongst the best scores of the eighties and amongst the ten best Fantasy scores of all time in my opinion...and it´s scary to revisist a site which is already 14 years old..how time flies.

I thought I would not like this score - I was wrong.

This is a GREAT score.

Epic in scope, drama and fantasy.

Stunning compositions.

Sit back, close your eyes and relax whilst you're taking on an adventure.

Agreed, not to mention the brilliant orchestrations. A true classic right up there with the masterful fantasy works of Benny, Jerry and Johnny.

Evening all. What are the chances of this getting a re-release?

Considering how difficult Warner is to deal with nowadays, not very good, I’m afraid.

One of my favorite scores.

I bought the 2CD album.
And the double LP twice cause I accidentally made a scratch on the first one.

I hope they reissue this title on CD as it one I would add to my soundtrack collection. It’s from a period of film scoring I really enjoy and in the fantasy genre which is one of my favourites. I’ve looked for a used CD and could not find one.
