At least I knew three of these songs. I've always loved Denise. "I Found Love" is a new one for me.

I found one that I think is rather rare. In the car I always listen to the 50's channel on my Sirius radio. That channel usually plays the standard Doo Wop songs; however, a few times a week, there is a program that features rather rare, unknown Doo Wop songs, and I heard one called Look For An Echo. There is lots of nostalgia in the lyrics. I found an Australian group did it in Australia, and other have also performed it.

I thought a few Christmas doo wops would be appropriate this time of year.

Doo Wop in Christmas songs. Didn't know these songs existed. As always Bob, thanks for your profound insights in to all types of music.

The Overtones are a very popular and successful Doo-Wop group in the UK.

Sadly, we lost lead singer Timmy earlier this year in a tragic accident. He was 36.

The other boys have carried on.

Here's their take on "Blue Moon." It's nice, but for pure doo wop, I'll stick with The Marcels.

Thanks, Bob. I too like the Marcels' version, but I really like this one too.

I' d like to ad some more songs to this great thread. smile

I want to join your campfire.
We should come up with some Doo Wop songs sung by ladies and their groups.

Joan, you' re very welcome to my campfire. smile
I was trying to think of some ladies doo wop and these came to my mind.
Do you think, it' s doo wop?

Shaun Cassidy made this number 1, but in my opinion these three nice ladies are much much better. smile

greetings

Since you' re usually respond in about two days, I was a little worried, you might got the cold,
or worse the flu.

I got another great song. It' s so f** ing crazy. smile
Total nutty text and the outfit of the band, absolutly crazy. smile
I liked it as a kid and still do.

Heard a new Doo Wop song the other day. Guess it isn't new, but I'd not heard it before, and I do like The Crests.

You have not lived until you've attended a dance at the high school gym with a recording of this bouncing off the walls. Phil Spector eat yer heart out.

I don't know if this was posted earlier, but I saw this on PBS---apparently current performers are doing doo wop.
