Laurent, it depends on which infos we are talking about. It is clear that I have many informations in mind, but of course not everything and therefore I have also the help of a personal archive with good sources. Personally, I am certainly not a great fan of Micalizzi´s scores, but in this particular case it is very helpful that I have two catalogues (which contain a few hundred pages in DIN A4 format) which CAM had made in 1984 - and copies of these catalogues have got into the hands of a few soundtrack collectors many years ago - where they had listed all the tracks which they had ever released on LP, EP or Single till 1984. I suppose that CAM had to put together these catalogues due to SIAE purposes. In the one list you can find all the tracks sorted alphabetically and by composer, and with the numbers in the first row of that list you can then find all the corresponding film titles in the second catalogue. In fact, it is a kind of interesting puzzle game, but it is true that with these two lists you can find almost any track which CAM had ever released on records till 1984 and also the film to which it belongs.

Some very exciting News: Piero Piccioni's Son Jason has set up a label called Camille 3000 Exciting news indeed! Particularly so because they have announced that both of these titles will be getting a CD release, albeit a limited run of 500. (I'll take it!) The 26-track LP release of Camille 2000 on the Blind Faith label a year or two back contained some music that was not on the older Easy Tempo release. With 28 tracks, this upcoming CD release looks to be expanded just a little more; the two new tracks appear to be track #26 ("Tears In Brasil" - alternate 3) and track #28 ("Camille 2000" - alternate take). "Il Mondo Di Notte" appears to be new to CD. Fantastic! Hopefully the younger Mr. Piccioni has access and the resources to release a few more of the Piccionis that have eluded us so far! In other news, Sonor Music Editions is releasing "Al Cinema Con Piero Piccioni," in an LP run of 300 copies. https://sonormusiceditions.bandcamp.com/album/al-cinema-con-piero-piccioni It looks like they have taken the contents of 2 LPs originally issued by RCA in the late 60's ("Al Cinema Con Piero Piccioni" Volumes 1 & 2) and distilled it down to a single LP.

Thanks wayoutwest & purplemonkeydishwasher for keeping us updated. That Piccioni's son Jason is a prime mover on these albums' productions seems hopeful to me that we can witness more such gems in the future.

Great about Il Mondo di Notte (1959). I have the LP but will certainly appreciate a clean copy. In fact, this is more than just a clean copy of the LP as the tapes for the CD came from Piccioni´s private archive. The original tapes that Sugar/CAM has on the other hand are only in mono. So this is great news that Sugar have given their permission that those private tapes in stereo could indeed be used for the new CD. Something which is not as easy as it may seem and which might therefore be a precedent for other such cases: "The original album was issued in mono vinyl and contained fourteen track selections performed by Piero's big band, choir and orchestra and also features some great vocals by one the composer’s favourite singers, Lydia MacDonald. This superb score is re-issued for the very first time on CD and for the first time includes ten previously unreleased tracks from the Maestro's private and original tape collection, and is here presented in stereo!"

I pre-ordered "Il Mondo di Notte" direct from Camille 3000 and received it last week (I am in the US). Another winner! Lots of variety on this soundtrack -- some jazzy, some exotica-tinged, some vocal tracks. A quality product just as wonderful as the releases from our other "specialty labels." I received an email from Camille 3000 shortly after I ordered, letting me know that the release date had been pushed back a couple weeks from the original May 2nd date so they could correct a printing error. But clearly it is now shipping! I've also received the Sonor LP release of "Al Cinema Con Piero Piccioni" and although LP is not my preferred medium, this is a first-rate pressing on heavy vinyl. I dubbed it to a CD-R on first play-through and the sound quality, to me, is indistinguishable from a CD release.

Over the past year or so I've been exploring the music by Piero Piccioni. FSM's Kenner/ More Than A Miracle was a recent buy and it's a thing of beauty! (Thanks Lukas & co.) To anyone who is Piero Piccioni saavy, what other score(s) of his are similar in style: haunting, lyrical and just downright gorgeous? Mabye you should have a look at this thread where I gave some recommendations to similar questions like yours: http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=97181&forumID=1&archive=0

The Dusty Groove website now has "Camille 2000" and "Il Mondo Di Notte" in their "Coming Soon" section with an expected arrival of June 15th. Though they list the label as "CAM," these must be the Camille 3000 releases. (CAMille 3000 ?)
