Well, if it helps at all I think many of these do not have many easily accessible episodes online. GE Theater or Studio One are the longest running shows, and you might be able to find a tenth of them online...

That's another thing I consider. Any series -- unless I make an exception (like "First Monday") -- must have most episodes available.

Why would that matter with anthology series, where each episode has an entirely new cast/director/story/etc.?

Audio is ripped from all episodes. Next week I shall finish suites for the show.

I have already moved on to another show and have another one lined up for after that, then I shall cut back on volume of suites to give myself time to do other stuff. I gotta have time for my own life, plus this is all done without pay.

Nearly done ripping audio from "City of Angels" and I have one more season of "Greatest America Hero" to rip. After that I'll be taking a big break from audio ripping, but I will be editing the ripped music (although at a slower pace); I have things I want/need to do.

This week's suites.

"The Rookies"
And this concludes all the season three and four episode score suites.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=z6MzIhkpKaA (Prigmore/MadLeod)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=HD5n4KrEZZ0 (Snow)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=grzP_9Id9Ps (Drasnin)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=BLpx0K4CkJc (Elliott/Ferguson)

"City of Angels"
All the cool Riddle scoring you can stand.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=EfYhnCbF18Y
https://youtube.com/watch?v=ou8emQpdzJI

"Snowbound"
Composer: Michael Kamen
An ABC short. This is a large part of the score.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=qXyqLNUjilA

"Greatest America Hero"
Believe it or not, a suite of scoring from season one.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=6BxacRka6ZE

For obvious potential copyright reasons, I am not only skipping the song, but the instrumental end credits as well.

Most of the flying theme has been cut for two reasons, one of which is I want to try and make a suite with a logical beginning, middle and conclusion of all the flying music (or as much of it as I can).

This week's suites.

"Greatest America Hero"
Two suites from season two. I am still editing one final suite for season two and that'll be up next week.

Suite #1:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUcKK3QmCEA

Suite #2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jR2hKTgeW4c

"City of Angels"
More suites from the show.

https://youtu.be/SNMldLoGqAA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AefzggMnNG8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2uJjzxZc78

"South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut"
Self edited and arranged war music. There was only so much in the film, so it's not like it's a perfect presentation. Hopefully you'll enjoy.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Since I spent less time working on suites, I decided to upload a couple of bonuses that you may enjoy, with an explanation for each.

  • "Superman: The Animated Series"

From my Exercise Compilation #1, an edit job of action scoring from an unreleased episode score (yes, not on the LLLR Volume 1); episode: "A Fish Story" (for those who gotta know). I thought those who like to exercise to action scoring, might find this useful.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfVqDMRUUhc

  • "The Lost World"
A cue from the score promo' of scoring from the 1999 series. It's in two parts -- the fist part is good as it is, but that second half I just love to pieces, especially the big grand and bold closing. Enjoy! Sorry, I don't know which episode this is from (presumably the pilot).
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QkYGU_gcj4

Next week: more GAH, more CoA, and possibly some another show with Post/Carpenter. Maybe some more miscellaneous audio, too.

    TV SERIES SCORE THREADS
An update on what is to come.

I'll obviously be doing "Switch" for another week or two, then the first season of a 1980's TV series (if the episodes are still up), after that, I think with spring and summer coming up, it's time to some beaches, surfing, waves and sun...

    This week's suites.

    "Angel Dusted"
    By: James Horner
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxa7fOyrogU

Not that I am complaining, but I hope people are appreciating efforts like this. For this suite alone, recording the music, editing it, and creating the video, I spent about one and-a-half hours.

    "City of Angels"
    By: Nelson Riddle
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIlUma2Kpa8

Final suite from the series. This covers the three-part pilot.

    "Greatest American Hero"
By: Mike Post & Pete Carpenter
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8ine_7P1H4

This is the final season two suite.

    "Police Woman"
Yes, I am starting suites for this show.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxGq7GnXrow (Jeff Alexander)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFbBcyVHcT0 (Morton Stevens, suite #1)

    "Tenspeed and Brownshoe"
By: Mike Post & Pete Carpenter

    Suite #1.
The score is heard in the order in the episodes, except for one cue which I moved to the opening of this suite because it's lead in by dialogue which I wanted to include (not over the music; you'll understand why I included it). The pilot end credits is included, but not the series main title.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFOsltcPw-s

Maybe a little more during the week. No promises though.

    Hi Justin,

I love what you did with the Morton Stevens suite for PW.

I’m really looking forward to more when you get around to it.

Thanks again so much, my friend:-)

    You're welcome.

Re-listening to his scoring, I realized I was wrong about the number of discs it would take to cover the first season. It would take one CD alone just to cover Stevens.

And I also realized: there are multiple cues by his that are just utterly brilliant. He was a master at this type of scoring.

    Justin,

I’m very happy to know that I’m not the only Stevens fan out there.

The guy was, as Leonard Freeman once said, “A Stone-Cold Genius”!

You must be shattered the time all this takes -it is not easy.
thank you very much for all your efforts.

A clue for the next series I will do Monday:

    You can take this song:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BaC95O37Os

And you can sing the popular lyrics to the main title theme.

This week's suites. Maybe more in the week. Probably will be barely any next week (I got things to do).

    "Gunsmoke"
    Episode: "Slocum"
    Composer: John Parker
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4ldAz12qOw

    "Greatest American Hero"
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R32XS_FcmWM

Suite #1 (of 2) for season three. If you're looking for the alien ship music, this suite has what you want and then some.

    "Tenspeed and Brownshoe"
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX-c7hJXf9M

Suite #2. Next week the final suite will be posted.

    "Police Woman"
    Various composer suites.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0sivIjtnSE (Pete Rugolo)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYPjdVhWOoY (Richard Shores, suite #1)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx8Kb87OyZE (Morton Stevens, suite #2)

Good lord, you want to talk about Stevens utter brilliance, just wait for the cue that begins at 3:12. It begins off immediately letting you know it's going to be funky goodness, then morphs into a funky fugue with at one point three different ideas going on at the same time, one of those a flute which then splits into TWO flutes dueling flutes which makes for essentially four things at once, and it works fucking gangbusters!

ATTENTION MRAUDIO: Expect suites from this show and probably other projects, for at least the next year period for Stevens. Not necessarily every week, but you might want to check in Monday's after I put new stuff up.
