The Deluxe Edition I've received does not have the red banner on the left side of the cover, as shown below. Rather, it is an exact replica of the old cover, with nothing at all to distinguish one cover from the other. Is this a production error?
Yes, I really hated the change of this important detail on this album and on Wild Wild West Deluxe Edition.
As pointed above, it should distinguish one edition from the other, especially when using the exactly same image.
Varese's new owners still can't get there are already established specific line designs which must not be changed.
Still, maybe not so awful as the lettering on Dolores Claiborne.

The DE tag is along the clear area on the left side of the tray. We will be doing this going forward. We did this for a number of reasons. As for cover art, we do try to suggest alternatives to the studios. They are the final say and for this one, they wanted the status quo on the cover.

Going forward the Deluxe Edition tag will be in the clear window space on the inlay card.
I dare to ask... And you decided to do this because...?? Why altering the established line design?

Though I would certainly prefer new artwork for Deluxe editions I really like the new trend of putting the Deluxe edition logo on the spine and keeping the cover itself clean.
I’ve been really loving the increased output and more varied club releases in the last couple of years so please count me as a very satisfied customer with the way things have been going!

Anybody have any issue with getting two of the same CDs? For starters, this got lost in transit and just arrived yesterday and then I opened it up to find both CDs being disc 2 and missing disc 1. Contacted Naxos and I haven't heard anything back yet.
Had that issue with Dracula--they did replace the entire set at no charge eventually but they are not the best at responding right away. Best of luck.
