Oh, crap! This just in and now stuck in my mind--a song from 1980 I'd never heard before!

"Echo Beach"- Martha and the Muffins

The hunt-and-peck keyboardist is gorgeous!

That's a solid and somewhat forgotten gem. YAY!

Martha Ladly, the keyboardist in the video, has a "Romulan" hairstyle.

Any woman who can wear that 'do and *still* look like a goddess is a-okay in my pamphlet!

"They Don't Know"

I don't know which I like better. Kristy MacColl's version or Tracey Ullman's.

Written by Kirsty MacColl when she was 16.

Rest In Peace Kirsty, who lost her life trying to save her sons life.

This song makes me feel happy, sad and melancholic at the same time.
It's good to challenge my moods wink

It's been in my head for days now.

So this might be akin to King Nebuchadnezzar requesting the Chaldeans to interpret his dream without telling them what the dream was, but the tune of this track sounds so familiar to me - yet I can't find anything anywhere on when it was written and/or if it has been used in a movie or TV show. Does anybody have any knowledge about this composition? Thanks.

A respectable cover version by Pete Yorn from his new "Pete Yorn Sings The Classics" album --

"Fag" from the Steppenwolf album "Monster". I never cared much for the band and found Kay's vocals grating, but I dig this little instrumental ditty.

Sticking with the era and genre of Jackfu's previous selection, try this one. Back to the days of psychedelic bikers.

The answers are in the comment section, but don't look if you want to play the "guess which 60s movie this clip is from" game.

One not identified is the one with the rickshaw gag. Does anyone know where that's from?

More from the psychedelic 60s - An example of a theme song that was better than the movie, from The Green Slime

This is what I started the day with, because it's what I ended last night with LOL...

God, I love this album, but this track more than the others.
Especially at the 7 minute mark where the cellos recede and the organ (or is it a Moog? I can't remember) comes in.
The whole track is like a dream journey into space--but then the whole album is like that.
