I'm going to go out on a limb (or should it be LEM...?) and guess that it's From the Earth to the Moon, timed nicely for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 in July. The 500th release for a 50th anniversary has a nice ring to it. Seems to fit the description of a "huge one worthy of our 500th release" -- and definitely worth being excited for, if true! That's a good suggestion. I'm guessing either a first time release or a popular title remastered box set. An Indiana Jones box set, Star Wars trilogy box set or a Rocky box set. Two are under Disney so presumed Intrada territory but you never know. Or a major rerelease like The Towering Inferno. That’s also supposing the Fox-Disney deal didn’t throw any new complications into the works for the latter.

Don't think its been confirmed that Disney owns Indiana Jones yet? Last word from Roger on one of the forums (albiet 3-4 years ago) was that it was held up in negotiations between Paramount and Disney or something that sounded less cut and dry as was with Star Wars. God how I'd love to see Dr Jones arrive at La La Land! Btw, if Disney owned Indy scores, wouldn't they be milking them in downloads or some CD format as they did Star Wars IMMEDIATELY after rights went from SONY to them? Is the Concord release still in print?

The ost recently showed up in the Amoeba used bin. Keep hope alive#

Disney has owned the IP since 2012 when they bought Lucasfilm, and purchased future film rights in 2013. However, Paramount still owns distribution rights to the existing films, so going by what Roger said they must have some stake in the ancillary stuff too. For what its worth, the only Concord releases of the Trilogy sold on Amazon appear to be the Jewel Case imports. I dont see the Digipacks being available. The imports have the Universal Logo on the back.

That would be SO awesome. In general a box set seems very likely for 500th release... Yavar

The mind boggles as to what the 500th release might be. My dream would be the Indiana Jones saga, with Mattessino mastering, Jim Titus artwork, and complete scores. Pie in the sky, but it would be worthy of the 500th release.
