I don't listen to music right at the point of waking up, so maybe my comment doesn't fit in the parameters of the topic. But for what it's worth, as I'm getting ready for the day I will put something on the hi-fi. There is no specific artist or genre, except that if it's going to be a day of hard physical work then it will usually be old AC/DC.
My alarm clock wakes me up at 6.30AM with Hans Zimmer's track "A Cold Day in NY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwmfxnrWSTk It's nice to start the day with this stuff! Although ... who cares?
"Love Theme from Superman" for the longest time; recently replaced with LLL's "Somewhere in Time" disc 2/track 21 music box rendition of "Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini".
So no one wakes up to music? Yes I'm shamelessly bumping my own thread!
"Tours Du Monde, Tours Du Ciel "by Georges Delerue is another wonderful score I like to wake up to. Really any Delerue score is great to wake up to other than maybe The Black Hole.
John Barry is the composer of The Black Hole......
