Obviously, Varese outsourced the mixing to their shipping department. Owned! About time I got some credit!

Still within the margin of error.

This is by FAR the best version of this score that has ever been released and most likely ever will be. I love it. Haters GONNA hate...It's sad that people will grab defeat from the jaws of victory here.

This is by FAR the best version of this score that has ever been released and most likely ever will be. I love it. Haters GONNA hate...It's sad that people will grab defeat from the jaws of victory here. That's a little unfair. Firstly there are only two releases of this score, so being "the best" isn't difficult. Secondly, this is one of the most oft-requested expansions in history. It's a score many fans have had in "unofficial" form. It's not unreasonable to have high expections of an inevitable "deluxe" edition and to express disappointment when it didn't quite deliver. And then, as usual, had no official explanation of the problems by the label. "Good enough" just isn't good enough for some scores. And rightly so. Agreed.I think La La Land and Intrada would have made a better product than what we got here.

The "Album Version" from the original album is the one on Disc 1 in the DELUXE EDITION. The "Film Version" is found on Disc 2. You wouldn't notice the difference between those two, unless you hear both tracks simultaneously. It's just a bit rearranging in the last couple of minutes, to match the editing. Maybe the sequence has been reedited at the last second. It is nice, to have both of them for comparison and it is only a matter of taste, which one is better In my opinion, the "Album Version" has a slightly better flow at the climax of the cue. I don't think, there exists a 3rd Version, as the Track on Disc 1 07 The Hijacking, Part One & Two (7:52) is marked with * Originally released on the Varèse Sarabande Records soundtrack VSD-5825, 1997

My goal is to get all of Goldsmith's cds, but that's quite a task he has so many! It took me many years of collecting to acquire (nearly) all of his scores on CD, but I'd say it's possible! Good luck henry!
