I'm still hoping for a lossless/Hi-Res download release someday, at least.
Double thanks! Such a great read, and curious about that X-Men CD. I'm assuming it's from the Pryde of the X-Men cartoon. With that catchy X-Men vocal theme song.

Well, that was very informative to read more details about Walsh and his project of preparing all his 80's music for eventual release. Of course, I gnashed my teeth a bit when the author said he made the suggestion for a vinyl release over the blu-ray option - I mean, I admit that the blu-ray format for a music release was kind of surprising, at least it would be in a digital format!

Well for now someone put it on YouTube. Surprisingly little vinyl crackle too. Was quite surprised at the sound quality and it being....basically?....stereo.

Well, honestly, the Transformers LP does sound great, when you've got a good turntable and speaker system. I converted it to digital for listening on my devices, but yes, it's in stereo and can sound great if you keep the vinyl clean.

Like all producer efforts to get the music released for this series, the Hasbro LPs are a joke. I've been listening to the entire G1/2/3 seasons (181 tracks), in mastered stereo since 2017. You guys need to be more resourceful lol!

I've been checking out those fan-restored tracks recently and they are pretty impressive, but it still doesn't compare to an official album released using the original scoring session master tapes, as what Walsh prepared for last year's LP release, this will be the best sound quality. I just hope that work continues on subsequent albums from Enjoy The Ride records or another label, now that Walsh went through all that effort with the tapes.
Nope. A valiant effort but that project turned out, well, as you'd expect. I've never, ever, heard a satisfying FX removal process. There are always fade outs, distant echos of the fx, etc. For the record, I always buy official releases and support the label when they finally show up but I have no guilt listening until they do....IF they do.
Assuming this is the stuff posted to YouTube, yeah the LP is a lot better.
I agree. The joke of an LP with barely a fraction of the G1 music that exists is better than the YouTube garbage ripped from a DVD...but wrong again. It's not what I am referring to. Any monkey can find those. Note I used the term "resourceful".

Does this "better music that monkeys can find" sound better too?

(I doubt it, as the above video shows)
You obviously don't read Dale Carnegie. Mocking people you want information from isn't very smart, is it? I'm glad you're happy with the LP. Don't worry, I'm sure the box set will eventually get released, some decade. In the meantime, enjoy that LP.

Could you talk to me? I didn't mock you and I too am unhappy with the LP release. If the e-mail form on your website is operational, I could contact you and we could talk privately that way.
