I might've gotten more of a howl of outrage 20 years ago when even the mainstream magazines, in one of the few instances they were aware that "soundtracks" could consist of more than the 100th use of "Sweet Home Alabama" or "I Can't Get No Satisfaction", were raving for Rings.

Thankfully, we are all in agreement that pop music is dramatically more effective than the symphonic syrup that is soundtrack music.

"I Feel Good", indeed!

Star Trek should have kept the "Motion Picture" aesthetic for the rest of the movies.

And to think the only Star Trek movie with a boner was rated "G".

And to think the only Star Trek movie with a boner was rated "G".

I'm not hip-enough to understand this one.

The best Mark Hamill movie of 1980 is "The Big Red One."

Harrison Ford's greatest performance was as "Colonel Lucas" in APOCALYPSE NOW, and you f_ckers know it.

R.I.P. Ryan O'Neal...if only you'd been cast as Han Solo, then you truly would have been remembered!

Russel T Davies has delivered a cracking Doctor Who 60th anniversary with just a subtle nod towards issues that minority groups face.

Did a human being or an A.I. write the music for "The Ring of Power"? I can't tell.
