But one must not forget that Abbott & Costello also have the fan base behind them, apart from the film music fans, which is similar to the Hitchcock recordings.
Less than halfway through this campaign for The Chairman, and (presumably without depending on the Gregory Peck fanbase) it's already at 502 backers, and will be passing even the Herrmann twofer total soon (likely by the halfway mark). I'm not saying there isn't a Hitchcock fanbase that may have factored into those two recordings, to some degree (I'm certainly a bigger fan of Dial M for Murder as a film)... but it doesn't seem likely to have been a large factor, compared with A&C.
With Bill, Anna, Leigh, the RSNO and everybody at Intrada you really have the best team imaginable and I hope you'll keep doing many more of these projects in the future. Can't wait for THE CHAIRMAN!
The Chairman... will be passing even the Herrmann twofer total soon (likely by the halfway mark).
Turns out I was (barely) right with this prediction, and the campaign got its 512th backer several hours before the halfway point, which was 15 minutes ago. $41,891 is the current total, which is 57.4% funded.

Just doubled my pledge in honor of The Goldsmith Odyssey podcast. Just wanted to say thank you to all of your shows which I really leaned on during the pandemic and continue to enjoy. Thanks for all the effort from all involved at the Odyssey and to those involved with this kickstarter.
Oh, wow! I am (and, speaking for my cohosts, we are) honored indeed! Thanks so much for the kind words and for supporting Intrada's exciting project by doubling your pledge. We hope to have some more episodes out in the next week or so. Do you have a favorite episode or episodes, of the ones you've heard?

The discussions with Dough Fake were always great like for public eye, extreme prejudice and MacArthur. Loved the interviews with Jonathan Frakes and John Paesano. I really fell in love with Islands in the Stream too a couple of years ago and learned a ton about that score I never knew from the last episode. Thanks again for the great content and for introducing new films score lovers to Goldsmith. Great way to celebrate his music and legacy!
Good to hear; that's what we're going for! And of course another great way to celebrate his music and legacy is producing new recordings of his music, like we've gotten from Tadlow/Prometheus, Leigh Phillips, and Intrada. New recordings like Black Patch/The Man and (hopefully) The Chairman are what really keep the music alive!
The board was down an hour ago when I was planning to update for the two-weeks-remaining mark (no movement in the campaign since then though).
The campaign now stands at $43,396 from 522 backers, 59.5% funded with ~two weeks left to go. It has continued to steadily increase every day, which is pretty rare three weeks into a 30 day Kickstarter. I remember some prior successful Intrada campaigns which stalled for multiple days in the middle weeks. Things typically start moving more quickly again in the last 4-7 days.
Hopefully everyone is clear about and knows about the stretch goal and the extras from "Rambo II", "Under Fire", "Not Without My Daughter" and "Lilies of the Field" that could happen if that stretch goal is met.
Should be pretty clear, as long as people either watch Roger's full video or read the full description.
That Mary Ann Fake interview is so fantastic, Joe! I loved your first two but this may be my favorite of the three even though it's less project-specific. Just a really important and wonderful conversation about Doug.
We just passed the two-thirds mark of the campaign a few minutes ago, with $44,408 raised from 536 backers! Just under 10 days remaining now, to raise an additional $28,592 (a little over a third of the total) for the main campaign.
Add-on update: that last copy of Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend is now also gone, joining Capricorn One, Rent-A-Cop, Deep Rising, Congo, Explorers, Night Crossing, and Masada 2CD as SOLD OUT.
So the remaining add-ons are those which started off a box or two (30 or 60 copies). Here's the remaining quantity for those three titles; I predict that The Boys from Brazil 2CD will be gone by the end of this campaign (it probably can't be reissued in the foreseeable future, so it makes sense) but I'm not sure about the other two: 16 (out of original 30) copies left of The Boys from Brazil 2CD 36 (out of original 60) copies left of Stagecoach album recording/The Heroes of Telemark 43 (out of original 60) copies left of One Little Indian remastered
