Why would Negan tie up the girl if he intended to kill Alpha along?

I have the same question. He could have just lied and said he had her to lure Alpha. I'm a bit confused too.

Could be that Neegan has plans for her that he doesn’t want Carol to know about. Playing both sides trying to gain power again? I thought his acting was good in his final scenes with Alpa. Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks very thin to me. I hope he’s not ill.

At times this was an interesting episode. However, I got very bored with Michonne's drug-induced hallucinations, but I think they were rather symbolic as we watched her evolve from being calloused to merciful. That theme has played in various episodes throughout the series.

So now we know how she exits since she found signs of Rick and says good-bye to her children. I wonder how safe her kids are at this point? We didn't see where her daughter was talking from, and her daughter didn't tell her about the fall of Hilltop. And just because Alpha is dead, we know whisperers have another leader.

At various times, I noticed some interesting music from scary to soulful.

Other thoughts?

An excellent episode, I thought, albeit very trippy. Which was reflected in the score, too -- seems temped with Mansell's REQUIEM FOR A DREAM throughout, especially the ending. And a fair of bit Max Ricther, which McCreary seemed to channel effortlessly.

Speaking of the ending, what the hell was that in the valley? Settlements?

Hey Thor, people are not suppose to read these responses until they watched the episode, so you don't have to black out items. Yep, that last scene was confusing. Is it in the future and a large settlement? Not sure.

I thought it was roman legions of walkers, like in Spartacus, practising battle formations!! Ha ha.

Tbh sorry guys but i found the episode an irritating sidetrack. Just when the main story got interesting last week, they abandon it for an alleyway, and the storyline certainly couldve been done with 5 scenes rather than a whole episode.
Get on with it!

I disagree. Michonne is not part of the storyline with the Hilltop destruction and all that, so I actually wondered what she was up to while all of that was happening. It makes sense to devote a whole episode to that. The show has been doing this since the beginning, whenever members of the group have been broken up.

I dont care if theyve always done it, doesnt make it right. Its just another gimmick to stretch it out. Couldve just as easily worked it into normal episodes rather than filling it out to make 1 episode - meanwhile we wait another week to find out whats going on in the already stretched out whisperers story. It doesn't have to be 100mph but i do like to see stuff progress at some sort of rate.

So i disagree with your disagreeing with me.

But Michonne is a CENTRAL character. It wouldn't make sense to just get a 5-minute 'update' about her ordeals. I agree with Joan that it was an important episode, a rite-of-passage, for her that required a full episode. Now her mission and role has changed considerably in the narrative, i.e. the search for Rick.

In general, I do agree with you that too many 'detour' episodes detract from the most dramatic storyline. I wouldn't want that. But once in a while, and with important storylines such as her's, it's OK. Especially if it's done as well as this particular episode.

Oh joy, we finally get rid of annoying Alpha ...and she comes back as a ghost in Carole's head. Wtf???! Wheres Thor to tell me it was a brilliant episode, best of the series so far??!!! wink

And giant psycho man was previously a country and western singer?! Who knew?

I thought the episode was neither great nor bad. Just OK.

So are they done for the season? They’re shut down because of the virus. Next Sunday is Killing Eve.

I don't know. But last night's episode certainly worked well as a season cliffhanger ending. I also loved the glimpse of the city again. It's been a while. Wish we could explore the city further.

Some articles speculate that there will be a season 10 finale in late April, but I thought production had been shut down.

I found kooky Princess really grating. Maybe she will grow on me later on. I found the last two episodes kind of confusing, so I guess I should watch them again. I thought there were people holding down Alexandria when Hill Top was attacked, but I guess I was wrong.

Beta mumbles so badly that I really couldn't understand what he was saying as he and the horde wandered around.

Yep, definitely ended with a cliffhanger.

Maybe they will show the last episode at the beginning of the run of FTWD later this summer if they get to film it in time. There seems to be a new show coming with the triple circle group.

I just read that it comes to an end after season11 (but that'll be a 24 episode season). Well, sort of, there's a number of spin-offs, so fans won't really notice notice the difference too much.

What? I thought it would go on forever!

But kudos to them if it's finishing. It's already gone on for too long.

And as you say -- plenty of spin-offs to enjoy. I'm also a big fan of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD.

Spinoffs? I think zztop bigfoot should be given his own chat show! smile
