By the way, Universal Music Japan did in fact release another Godzilla compilation CD in 2021 called Godzilla The Theme (PROT-1300), but this CD is not generally known about today...it was not sold via regular retailers and is only available as a TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE exclusive CD in Japan... https://shop.tsutaya.co.jp/cd/product/4988031430910/ It features artwork by Japanese artist Yuki Nishimoto, and the booklet states that the audio for this CD was taken directly from the Toho Music 50th Anniversary Perfect Collection boxed sets, and I can confirm it sounds much better and more normal than Universal Japan's previous 2014 Godzilla The Best SHM CD. Personally, I think this hard to find 2021 Godzilla The Theme CD makes a nice collectible. Here is another website showing this CD and the track-list... https://vgmdb.net/album/113597 Oh yeah, I've heard of that compilation album. I completely forgot about it. I had not checked on the status of this CD for a while, but according to the Tsutaya Bookstore website, they might no longer be able to obtain this CD if placing an order for it, so it's probably sold out. It's just interesting that the 2004-2010 Toho Music 50th Anniversary Godzilla Perfect Soundtrack Collection CDs were used as the audio source for this 2021 comp.

They look incredible. I ordered the first 15 titles from ArkSquare yesterday. Considering how efficient they are, I should have these very soon. Yes, I'm looking forward to my order from CDJapan. I combined the first 11 CDs with the Cinema-Kan remaster of Ifukube's THE MYSTERIANS, and next month I'll order the remaining 11 titles along with Cinema-Kan's BATTLE FROM OUTER SPACE (I'm a fan of symmetry). Nice. Cannot wait to hold a Godzilla - Alien festival upon their arrival.

It's clear that a lot of care went into the packaging for these albums. I'm still waiting for my order to ship, but I now I've got Cinema-kan's Earth Defense Force Original Soundtrack (CINK-146) to listen to for the time being. Cinema-Kan has got to be a model label with regards to packaging. Their attention to detail is awe inspiring.

Just a big thumbs up for the information in this thread! I've been checking out the releases on CD Japan, but haven't decided which vendor to go with when my budget allows. I have received "The Mysterians" from Ark Square, along with 2 other Ifukube CDs including "Film Music Toei", and another out of print one that Ark Square tracked down for me named, I believe, "Film Composer: Seiji Fujishiro Shadow Pictures."

I finally went with ArkSquare and the shipping costs me about 2.40 USD per disc. However, all the options provided by our Japanese specialists are very sound solutions.

I have the original 1987 issue of Complete Recordings 1 as well as the 1996 release of the score, both released by Futureland. While the score sounded pretty good with both releases, the audio quality of the Cinema-kan release is phenomenal, which is to be expected from the label. It's also packed with 73 tracks and a run time of 78 minutes! I no longer have those older Akira Ifukube Complete Recordings 1-8 CD sets, but I do have the 1996 Mysterians Futureland CD and the 2009 Mysterians/Battle 2CD set from Toho Music. Cool, I'm glad to see the new Mysterians CD is packed with 73 tracks and that it sounds terrific. The 2009 Toho Music edition of The Mysterians does sound excellent as well, but unfortunately, Disc 2, which is the Battle In Outer Space soundtrack CD sounds terrible...it's way too soft. Agreed. I'm really looking forward Battle in Outer Space in glorious upgraded sound.
