Well, I finally decided to sit down and watch Game of Thrones. I was the weirdo holdout. I actually had to add HBO to our cable plan to get it. Hubby and I are hooked thus far. I know it's old news but new to me.

Joan, it is really so well done. I also love the recap following each episode. It gives you perspective and let’s you know you’ve “got” it. Pun intended.

I loved it, but I've yet to see season eight. I had Blu-rays of most seasons (some seasons missing, & some discs from some seasons missing), anyway, I bought the big Blu-ray complete box set, & I need to re-watch the lot again before I try season 8. I don't know when that will be.

No, I'M the weirdo! I have never seen even one second of Game of Thrones. Isn't that weird?

Yeah, we're watching you!

When Sky started showing it (on Sky One then), I watched the first episode & thought, this is really boring & didn't watch anymore of it. And then about six months later they repeated it, so I thought I'd give it another go as there'd been so much written about it...& I was hooked, only I had to buy the Blu-ray sets to see the other seasons, as Sky moved it to Sky Atlantic & I don't get that. I suppose you could describe it as shagging & killing (& they kept you on you're toes with the amount of lead characters they regularly killed-off).

Not particularly. I've never seen one second of it either.

Oh, hold on. Yes, you are weird.

I've not experienced GOT. I've seen loads of stuff written by those who have been GOT. From what I can see, it is a bit like Quintet, or maybe even, The Ladykillers. Last 'lopsided' one left standing gets the lolly?

There's a ton of much lauded TV series that I haven't seen any of, Breaking Bad, The Wire (I have those two box sets ready to watch). If you don't get channels like Sky Atlantic & Netflix & don't stream, then these series have to be released on disc to watch. I don't have time to watch what I have, & I'm retired, so how people with an actual life find the time to watch all this, heaven only knows. It does seem like all the talent is making TV series these days, which could be why so many new movies are not so great.

If you’d joined the Zoom last night as planned you’d have no need for Game of Thrones. All the intensity, betrayal, cartoon violence and sexual intrigue you could possibly ask for was there in spades. And that was just Bill.

OMG TG, this made my day. I needed a great big laugh. And in all seriousness, when you mention intensity, betrayal, cartoon violence and sexual intrigue, I immediately think of Bill. I will definitely be there next week - fingers crossed.

Watched season 4 on HBO when it offered a free weekend. Loved it. Tried to watch some more and it was just to violent for me. After the head crushing brain splatter scene I was out. Kinda glad I didn't invest time in the entire series because the last two seasons were a total let down from everything I seen and read.

I had my ups and downs with this show. There were so called set up episodes that were boring. But over all the were great fun.
There was always question of who was the biggest sob of the week.
Of late I started watching Rome on HBO on demand.
If a dose of naked people ,the meaning of a true friendship, more naked people. Great political drama. With more naked people.
This the show for you

Well, then it was nice of you and your daughter Sally to show hospitality to Arya and the Hound.

Foreshadowing a bit.

Oo, I loved Rome. Did you notice that all the nakedness virtually disappears in the second season.

Lots of shagging in Rome, did i not tell you?

Tbf Rome was ok but GoT is in another universe for quality. GOT is champions league final and Rome is a team going up from league 1.
