Probably the only time Stormtroopers ever hit a target.

Why did we never see blasters do that much damage ever again. Ever. Again?

I think its a little more grizzly than that. They pulled them out of the compound and burned them alive.
May or may not have shot them first with blasters.

What's next, a Mos Eisley Cantina Slaughter Playset complete with Baba dismembered arm, disemboweled Evazan and Greedo corpse with entry and exit wounds?

I always interpreted that scene as the troopers burned the homestead whilst the Lars' were still inside but now that I'm thinking about it, that doesn't make sense because how could a charred skeleton crawl halfway out of a building?

This scene is troubling for several reasons.

Yes, if that was the intended impression it is troubling. I just assumed the troopers killed them, then burned them and the place to cover their work and make it look like the Sandpeople did it.

Kenner/Hasbro actually did come out with a 12-inch Panda Baba that had a detachable arm back in the 90's. They also bestowed upon children a 3 3/4 inch Bespin-fatigues Luke with a detachable hand. (Same with Vader, but at least his was supposed to be electronic at this point...) embarrassment

Too right. No one is ever bothered about the slaughtered remains of womp rats spread all over the walls of Beggar's Canyon.

You're probably right....but I still think that was the most brutal act (shown or implied) by Stormtroopers in the original trilogy. Imagine if they had taken that work ethic to Endor?

This was later superseded by the midi-chlordan action figure.

A "Scorched Ewoks" policy? Would that be a bad thing?
