Honestly, I see no reason why you should delete your digital copies. You paid for them and to have the right to resell your physical CDs. This makes no sense to me, but it's your choice. Cheers, Greg Espinoza With stuff that's still available though, it really comes down to I'm taking a sale away from the labels, and they really depend on them. I buy a copy, keep my copy digitally, but sell the physical one to a second person who now doesn't buy their own from the label. I just can't do that to them. Again, it's more of a spiritual conviction versus getting sued. With the "Out of Print" titles, I could see your point because the labels already made all their money on them, but still...don't know for sure what I'll do on them. Plus, there's the additional component that it's a way to prove to my estranged wife that I'm putting my money where my mouth is and actually sacrificing for her. Example: Huge fight on Harry Potter because money was tight, but I kept at it until she gave up. Now, it's an opportunity to make it right.

Don't feel bad that by reselling you are depriving the labels of a sale. Second hand stores do the same thing AND The price set by the labels takes into account the resale value - just.like cars do !

Speaking of Harry Potter set, I really would love to own this set too but I know my limit. Even though my lovely wife is quite reasonable on most things, spending up to a $100 for a CD set, she would never understand and I don’t expect her to. Things like soundtrack collecting is a special niche that only a few people enjoy. Jeff, I pray that she really knows that you are trying and has a positive outcome. No matter what in life, material things are never worth the dime you pay when compared to the loved ones around you. One day I will decide to part with my soundtrack collection and pass it on to someone who can have the time to listen to it all. Because having company with a friend or family is always better music to the ears that is free. And that's something I wish I'd realized sooner. Obviously, film score spending was just one facet of everything, but it was an easy one to solve. Michele loved that I was passionate about scores, but y'know when you can't afford it....you can't afford it! I just gotta keep pushing forward and doing the right and responsible thing from now on (at 37 years old, it's sad that I haven't figured some stuff out yet), but I'm just praying for a miracle. And, of course, I'm hoping that some of my fellow FSM board mates can benefit from this and get to enjoy these scores. It's the best outcome I could hope for.

Reduced prices on nearly every disc. Really trying to move these even if it means at a partial loss. I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but if I'm going to be brutally honest, you'll have to account for a CONSIDERABLE loss, not just a 'partial' loss when selling used soundtrack CDs these days. Nobody buys CDs anymore, except for the odd few in places like this -- if you're lucky! And your prices are still on the expensive side, especially when you also consider shipping costs. When I put CDs out for sale here, I put them out at about 1/5th or less of what I originally paid for them. I think that's the ballpark we are in, sorry to say. My suggestion to you is to slice the prices you have now in HALF (if not more), in the hope it will "move more product". Especially if your money situation is pressing. I appreciate the advice. However, I've already sold quite a few for either "at cost" or for $5-10 more than I paid. Including the Beverly Hills Cop, Braveheart, and the Harry Potter set. Plus, this is the only place I'm selling them precisely because I know it's a niche market. It seems our experiences have been quite different. Quite a few of these titles are currently "out of stock" at LLL and/or Intrada, so here's a quick and easy way for board members to get essentially brand new copies and save a few dollars in the end instead of waiting possibly months for a new production run. These discs get transferred to MP3 as soon as I get them, and then most of them have never been removed from their jewel cases since then. Win-win situation for both parties. The first orders should be arriving tomorrow, so I'm hoping those members will come into this thread and provide feedback on the condition of the discs and the whole transaction.
