Ironically, this is one soundtrack where I wish the song wasn't on the disc!
I don´t know D.A.´s score yet, of course, but I suspect this will be another soundtrack-CD where I wished the score wasn´t on the disc either! (or as Thor put it recently: "I rather like to have the windows open and listen to the leafs that rustle in the wind"!)
This whole thing is getting rather frightening. When I saw the gray cover of the "Casino Royale" soundtrack in a shop yesterday, I suddenly wasn't sure if I own this CD or not. (Gives you an impression of how often I have listened to it)Then I remembered that I took it with me when I purchased the DVD suitcase, but didn't unseal it for months. Finally, one listen was enough.
I wonder if we will get an updated song collection with the appearance of the new movie...
I wonder about the contents of the DVD. Perhaps the music videos for the songs since the 1980s? The sad thing about it is that it is not Sony, but Capitol who releases the set. I guess this kills all hopes for Sony finally restoring the remainder of the vintage scores...
Are you referring to the EU or US cover artwork of "Licence To Kill"?
I guess my favorite of the Bond covers is "From Russia With Love". I would have preferred if the "stereo" banner had been retained for the CD cover, though. Would have given the whole thing even more nostalgic feeling
Are you referring to the EU or US cover artwork of "Licence To Kill"?
Both actually. LTK's US release is sightly superior, IMO. They simple used the teaser poster art for that. But the European had that most dreadful photoshop (or whatever it was) work, done by Georgopoulos/Imada Design.
My preferred cover art can be fund on the UK fold out LP from You only live twice with Connery standing alone in his awsome Bond pose. That's a classy and simple design.

(based on this groovy poster, sorry it's a bit, um, vertical!)

I actually prefer the EU cover of LTK over the US.
My favorite Bond cover? Gotta be a toss up between Thunderball and Man With the Golden Gun...classic Bond movie poster-types.

Yes, that's true! The US cover fits in nicely with the others of that period at least (TLD and later Goldeneye).
I thought that the covers from the beginning of the Moore era were also rather weird. "The Man With The Golden Gun" looks like a green "Live And Let Die"

Unfortunately, I've never seen this cover. Is it similar to the Nippon release depicted on soundtrackcollector?
Many thanks for posting the image! Looks really nice. Has this also been used for the stereo pressing?
The picture above shows the mono release. I'm pretty sure the same art has been used for the stereo UK release as well. I have a picture filed somewhere but I don't remember if it's been taken from the stereo edition. (Unfortunately I don't own a copy of that lovely release. It's usually quite difficult to find in great quality at a decent price these days.)
