But probbaly more to the point in the UK (so it may be the same for the US) the big record chains buy centrally - its usually down to one guy what goes in all the stores - and if you want to get your product into their stores you have to give huge discounts or send the goods on sale or return. So grab 'em while you can from those kinds of outlets. Can anyone tell me when Tower shipped their stocks back? It would help me. Just as surprised as everyone here too. Tower Stores I noticed were: Glendale, Santa Monica, Sunset, and Sherman Oaks. At the time I was hoping to catch the eye of people who might be interested in the titles but had no idea they existed. And it probably did happen...once or twice! But it's hard to be a pimp. I grabbed tons of rare titles, including dozens of Rykos that are actually still there, on sale. I also found Barry's Cry the beloved country for $5!! But the film music section has become worse and worse, with tons of song albums and low quality compilations. It was one of the best things in my life to find out about this mail order business. Ahem. lk I remember back in the good ol' days a few years ago when they actually HAD used CD shops in Vegas (and with quite a selection at that!) chatting with a middle-aged store clerk about how much he lamented that he couldn't find "Where Eagles Dare" on CD, as he did not have a home computer/ internet. And that was just when Chapter III turned into Chapter 11 and their CD instantly became hard to find, and in the next year or two ater FSM amazing disc!
