Same. As far as full study scores go, I think ALIEN is the granddaddy of them all. So many opportunities to see the orchestration firsthand.

Congrats Chris on this release!

Looking forward to seeing how all the odd sounds were really done. Looking at the samples, was surprised to see that there were two serpents. I've never even heard of anyone who could play a serpent. I'd hate to think of how many chickens had to be sacrificed to find two people who can play it.
Also wondering if this has the revised versions, although they mostly seem "dumbed down" to me (with the exception of the revised "Out The Door"which is really good).

I would like to have the first two, but I already have a couple dozen conch shells autographed by Ridley Scott. He sends me one every Labor Day, and I don't know why, nor how he got my address.

Ask and you shall receive! Here's a breakdown of the cues in the book.  The OST track number column refers to disc 1 of the Intrada release.  "R7P2 (Original) Catnip" only appears as a reference in the liner notes of the OST, since the original takes were not saved. I have made a YouTube video using the Noteperformer playback from this cue, which I'll make available in due course (currently a Patreon exclusive).

R1P2 Main Title 1-1
R1P3 Hyper Sleep 1-2
R2P1 The Landing 1-3

Ooh and shipping from the UK? So sensible postage if it's sent to a UK address?

The shipping to the US is quite a bit, but this time, I think I ordered three items, and the shipping was only a few dollars more than what I recall paying previously for one item. That was a nice surprise. It would be really nice if these international shipping charges would get back to something reasonable. For all of our sakes.

Douglas Yeo (former Bass Trombone, Boston Symphony/Pops) has performed the serpent a great deal (he also premiered the John Williams Tuba concerto on the Bass Trombone with the Pops)

I think Bernard Herrmann used it on "Beneath The 12 Mile Reef".

Goldsmith also used the serpent in "Tora! Tora! Tora!"

I just ordered it... along with Conan... it's a rather silly expenditure for me, as my music reading skills are school level and I'm not a practicing musician, but these are great scores, truly great scores, and I want to look at their DNA.
