Roger Feigelson writes:

While it's too soon to reveal the albums, here's some info: 2 albums, 1 film, 2 composers, 3 discs.

A reissue of Troy, this time with Yared’s score?

2 albums, 2 separate CD’s?

I think he's saying it's one release, a 3CD set, but that there were two albums at the time… maybe?

I mean, I'm certain it's not Legend, but mathematically, that might fit the clue. Or The Big Blue had Conti's score been an album before. Or A Prayer for the Dying (both Scott's unused score and Conti's were released).

To be clear, I don't think it's any of those. But the clues would seem to point to something like that.

Or not.

Yes, that makes sense. 2 soundtracks for the same film that includes a rejected score or 2 composers that collaborated?
I like The Last of the Mohicans guess.

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. Two scores released separately now released together, perhaps this time with ALL the James Horner score complete.

Maybe?

Interview with the Vampire perhaps? That would be cool.

Makes me think of Abbott & Costello’s math routine.

7 x 13 = 28

If you haven’t seen it, you’ll crack up.

Maybe we'll get Shore's rejected King Kong, along with the replacement.

I'm not a fan of Yared's Troy. Sounds heavy-handed to me, though everyone else seems to think highly of it. If I recall correctly, the sound quality of Yared's own release of the music was a bit edgy... maybe some loving Intrada treatment would do it some favors.

"Let the flailing begin"? What does that mean?

How about Dick Tracy?
Elfman - Finally complete, found missing bits (A-La Robin Hood, Prince of thieves)
Sondheim - songs

How cool would that be???

Ha I just wrote this on the Intrada Facebook site. I would love to hear the Sondheim orchestrated songs as they appeared in the film. I didn't like them as much on the original album release, especially "What Can you Lose" which had a gorgeous orchestral arrangement in the film version. I'd be down with this

Newton Howard's Kong would be super cool, but since it was recorded after the AFM archival rate of mid 2005 cutoff, it might require the miracle of the AFM to renegotiate the timeline to allow for such a massive score to be covered. The Re-use alone would be chaos as they had so many sessions at different scoring stages to get that one done in time. Plus, it clocks in over three hours, so you would need at least 3 discs alone for that one.

As for Shore's contribution, only an hour was recorded as the film was incomplete when he got what he got to score.

As for TROY, if WB allowed Yared's score to be released after the media frenzy created by the frustrated composer, that would mean the studio is in an unlikely forgiving mood.

God, I would love it to be Tracy!

But how they could pull off getting the Madonna vocals though? The cost would be insane, wouldn't it?

It's probably gonna be Last or the Mohicans.

I’ll play with a guess: Practical Magic!

2CD set of the Alan Silvestri score
1CD of Michael Nyman

Two cues from each score were previously released:

This would imply that the spell of stinginess is broken at Warner Bros., and even if the ultimate album disappoints, this would potentially be the best soundtrack news of the year.

From the Intrada composers that Roger Fiegelson had announced earlier on for this year for this years agenda:

James Horner: 48 HRS.
Jerry Goldsmith: BLACK PATCH/THE MAN
James Horner ANOTHER 48 HRS.
Michael Kamen
Basil Poledouris
James Horner: JUMANJI/ WILLOW
Miklos Rozsa DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR PLAID
John Williams: SPACE CAMP
Alan Silvestri: CATS EYE
Henry Mancini
Jay Chattaway

It could be made into 2 composer combination from these:
Michael Kamen, Basil Poledouris, Henry Mancini, Jay Chattaway

1) Henry Mancini and Michael Kamen….(This could be a 2CD) wink

2) Non Film Project…..(??) TV could it be some Jay Chattaway then..? Or Michael Kamen again…
