Ha I just wrote this on the Intrada Facebook site. I would love to hear the Sondheim orchestrated songs as they appeared in the film. I didn't like them as much on the original album release, especially "What Can you Lose" which had a gorgeous orchestral arrangement in the film version. I'd be down with this

Maybe we'll get Shore's rejected King Kong, along with the replacement. I'm not a fan of Yared's Troy. Sounds heavy-handed to me, though everyone else seems to think highly of it. If I recall correctly, the sound quality of Yared's own release of the music was a bit edgy... maybe some loving Intrada treatment would do it some favors. Newton Howard's Kong would be super cool, but since it was recorded after the AFM archival rate of mid 2005 cutoff, it might require the miracle of the AFM to renegotiate the timeline to allow for such a massive score to be covered. The Re-use alone would be chaos as they had so many sessions at different scoring stages to get that one done in time. Plus, it clocks in over three hours, so you would need at least 3 discs alone for that one. As for Shore's contribution, only an hour was recorded as the film was incomplete when he got what he got to score. As for TROY, if WB allowed Yared's score to be released after the media frenzy created by the frustrated composer, that would mean the studio is in an unlikely forgiving mood.

I'd be down with this God, I would love it to be Tracy! But how they could pull off getting the Madonna vocals though? The cost would be insane, wouldn't it? It's probably gonna be Last or the Mohicans.
