I'll start: We have been going through a period of unprecedented wealth, when it comes to score releases and their contents. Many riches have even come out where we NEVER thought they'd see the light of day. I, for one, enjoy the possibilities of what is just around the corner that we merely don't know about yet.
So thank you, label-type folks. For having the passion and perseverance to follow your hearts and sharing the results of your talents with us. A humble and heartfelt round of applause for all of you.
(This is not a slight to any other thread. Just a different perspective with which I think everyone can agree.)
I am absolutely thrilled that the labels are sensitive to the fact that so many of us began supporting them with the Compact Disc format, and that our golden age of limited release soundtracks came to be during the era of the CD.
The continued support of the CD format to help complete established collections is really appreciated, when it may not be as hip or lucrative to do so.
The women and men who get these treasures in our hands are really, really appreciated.
Honk! OK... bit literal. But yes, definitely. As I just posted on JWFan, I ordered Lethal Weapon set (amongst others) to take of advantage of it being back in print and their 18% discount, but must have been minutes too early and so the discount wasn't applied, but having contacted them, they offered to send me a gift voucher for the equivalent of the discount. Notwithstanding their superb release, the excellent customer service is the creme patissiere on the gateau.
LOVE them all! They have brought me incredible pleasure over the years, and I so appreciate their efforts to preserve the legacy of film music for future generations.
I just made my first orders in almost ten years from LaLaLand, Intrada, and Varese earlier this week. Newer film music does nothing for me so I’ve kinda fallen off of the radar for the past decade. I thought the labels could especially use the support during the pandemic.
I don’t rebuy CDs I already have so I picked up:

With LaLaLands new 18% off sale and Intrada’s Land Before Time release I may have to make a few more orders.
Honk! When I think of the number of scores that as a younger man I assumed I would never be able to hear without dialogue weighed against the number of such scores I can now enjoy any time I want, my gratitude for these labels is overwhelming.
