Hi all,

FILM MUSIC FANS.

There's no meet-up this week as I didn't get my arse in gear.

We'll start again on Sunday 9th August.

To make things simple, I've created ONE series of SIX meetings.

All on Sundays. All at 8.30pm UK time.

That means you don't have to remember which day it is each week, or what time, because it's always the same.

It also means you only have to register once and you can come to as many of the meetings as you like.

Register here:

https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcuf-mgrjgsHNSdGENZCfvLHszn5DjJxviV

Cheers

Don't forget that I host the Monty Norman fan Zoom meetings. They occur weekly on Tuesday mornings at 7 am, regardless of which time zone you are in.

I don't understand. If I turn up at 07.00 UK time, that can't be the same as 07.00 for someone in Chicago surely ?.

Yes, I've developed a workaround. Just show up at 7 am, regardless of where you live. We will all be there.

This Monty Norman global 07:00 slot is a pain -- I wanted that for my Robert Mellin Zooms.

Well, this week we are discussing "Dr. No." Next week's topic is TBD.

This Tuesday the topic of my Mellin Zoom would have been the first fourteen seconds of the ROBINSON CRUSOE End Title theme. The week after was set to be the other half of it.

You don't know how much fkn damage you caused just by validating Onya's ruse with a straight-face answer! big grin

Love it.

Yes Les, im up for that. Hopefully we will find out how Reverberi allowed his writing credit to be hijacked!

Registered.

Is there a particular topic, subject or theme to bring to the virtual table?

I registered just in case I can make it some of the time on some of the days. The problem is (and I don't want anyone losing sleep over it) that I do my "ET phone home" ritual on Sunday evenings. So I might catch the first part of it but then have to leave. It might be easier for me if I don't pop in at all, because tearing myself away would be a pain.

I may post this serious problem in that "Woe Is Me" thread which some self-obsessed creep started the other day.

The 20.30 timeslot is perfect for me in the UK. I could never make that 07.00 one, I'm just too old and decrepit. Zoom meetings are the best thing to come out of Covid19. I hope they continue on.

I've got a couple of hours to wait before I test the setup (Just in case).
I may not talk at all, but will be happy to just listen to fellow soundtrackers.

Will there be any taboo subjects... e.g. boots ?.

We were convinced the heater lamp had unscrewed off the wall and toppled, catching fire and as u got up to grab the burning rug you tripped on the cable and dived headlong thru the open window into the street below. Only to be crushed by a steamroller n marching band a la naked gun??!! Lol big grin

That was what the smart money was on anyway.
Somebody did say piss break and another said phone call but they were just wild crazy guesses. wink

Luv ya mate
