Because of a certain Norwegian, flippin' Jean Michelle Jarre! Right now. But I still have the Intrada Jason and the Argonauts in the cd player virtually non-stop. Hardly a day goes by when I don't have to at least hear the Prelude. God bless Bernard Herrmann. And Jarre. Oh, and I just got this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COlCe0hJXN0

Going through my LPs while I work from home. A lot of 50's and 60's albums, some scores, mostly not. Enoch Light Command series albums are amazing, as are the Jackie Gleason jazz albums and the 70's fusion of Chick Corea.

This evening we've stuck mostly to music, though did try an old British B movie for ten minutes ... ... Richard Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra, TrV176 - Andris Nelsons/RCO [31 Dec 13] - Blu-Ray ... wonderful, far better than I'd expected given a negative Amazon review ... Sergei Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto #3, Op.30 - Abduraimov/Gergiev/MPHIL [18 Jul 16] ... my own DVDr from that year's BBC Proms ... incredible version of one of my favourite works ... I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Blu-Ray (I already have multiple recordings of this masterpiece) and to end the evening: ... J.S Bach: Cantata, BWV202 Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten (Begine, dismal shadows) - Karl Richter/Münchener Bach-Orchester [1959] ... from CD. Very good, but too heavily dependent upon a soprano, Maria Stader ... not to my wife's taste ... amusingly, I see that this is known as the "Wedding Cantata" Mitch
