Glad to hear this. We can all go back to buying luxuries like CDs when this is behind us. Until then, it's best that Amazon protects their warehouse workers by not overwhelming them. Music is important, and will help us all get through this, but I'm sure we all have enough old CDs to listen to for months, and there is limitless music streaming online, a great time to discover new composers and works from favorite composers that we never had a chance to check out.

Never been a better time to practice gratitude for what we have.

Well, I do have a number of TV series threads to sample scoring.. But there are labels out there with unsold units of various titles and would probably like to see them move.

Not a fan of headlines like this, because it's simply not true. I've been getting CDs daily for the past week. Others here have pointed out what this is actually about.

Until then, it's best that Amazon protects their warehouse workers by not overwhelming them. I've seen too many YouTube testimonials, months ago, attesting about THIS facet of Amazon life. Now it's time to read about Mechanical Turk's policies...

They're offering a $1.50 digital credit if you opt for slower shipping, which enables them to prioritize other, more urgent goods. I ordered the new Animal Crossing game for my housebound kids this past Monday, before Amazon implemented this policy, and chose the option to receive the game the day it was released, which was today. I told my kids that it would be here on Friday. Yesterday I got an e-mail from Amazon telling me that the shipment was delayed until next Tuesday, at the earliest. Got another message this morning telling me that it had shipped, and it had already arrived when I left work today. I did have an order of Probiotics that they shipped with the game, so maybe they considered that an "essential" product...? Who knows. They seem to be slowing everything down, though. I ordered another game for the kids today, and if I chose Prime shipping the arrival date was next Thursday. I chose slower shipping, which places it here next Friday. They're doing their best....I just wish they'd stop letting people buy out supermarkets and then turn around and sell two loaves of white bread on Amazon for $15.00, plus $10.00 shipping...

I'm seeing signs in stores that they are beginning to limit the amount of essentials you can buy at one time. Though shelves are still empty. Price gouging is illegal and there is a hotline for that. I wonder how they're able to continue with the no less than ten people/fix feet apart rule. Aren't Amazon packaging centers packed with workers? I wonder if there's any reports of coronavirus in these sweatshops?

Remember, there are plenty of other people selling CD's, like SAE and MovieMusic. Then of course you have the e-mail list only Soundtrackers (who also takes requests).

Just called my favorite Record store in NYC, Academy Records (on 18th Street) about their hours before the shutdown tomorrow night. The phone rep said they are closed for the next 6 months. Damn! What a timeline projected.
