"THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN" limited edition CD will be available for purchase at the event in the Music Hall lobby, ahead of the CD's official release date.
Universal Pictures Film Music Heritage Collection, La-La Land Records and Sleepy Hollow International Film Festival (SHIFF) present the 1935 classic feature film THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, starring Boris Karloff and Elsa Lanchester, and directed by James Whale. Arguably unparalleled in its genre, THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN has, and continues to enthrall generations with its cinematic power, a vital part of which is the film's astounding original music score by legendary composer Franz Waxman (REBECCA, SUNSET BLVD., SUSPICION, A PLACE IN THE SUN). This screening celebrates the world premiere release (in any format) of the original BRIDE score recording, which has been discovered and meticulously restored.
The official, limited edition THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN CD will be available for purchase exclusively at this show, ahead of its release date, in the Music Hall lobby.
Post-screening Q&A with John Waxman, son of the composer, Alexia Baum, chief executive of the Universal Pictures Film Music Heritage Collection, and film music restoration producer Mike Matessino — who will take the audience behind the scenes of this beloved classic film and its immortal score.
Tickets are available for purchase at www.TarrytownMusicHall.org starting 9/6. Overall SHIFF fest passes, which include this and all SHIFF Music Hall events, are also available at that location now.

This has a distinction of being one of Waxman's scores that wasn't conducted by Waxman himself (it was conducted by Constantine Bakaleinkoff, who was credited only by his last name).

But...but....I thought LLL didn’t care about releasing Golden Age scores! 
This is awesome news, and with the Mattesino touch I am very optimistic about the sound quality of this. Intrada released scores from just a year later on their amazing Waxman 11-score 4-CD box set (on sale now from them for only $27.99 — go get it!), and they sounded shockingly good!

I'm kind of astonished that suddenly, almost a hunnert years later, both Waxman's Jekyll/Hyde and his Bride are released. I kind of never expected this sort of thing to happen any more.
Odd timing, I was just reading all about Bride earlier this week. And I'm pleased to find that I apparently own all the different recordings available over the years, including Mauceri's suite (and I've always enjoyed the Silva album).

This is GREAT news! I'm very excited to hear the restoration work done on this. I hope that it is the complete score (or as complete as can be).
This also makes me wish GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN could be released as part of the Universal Heritage series as well. Maybe some day!
