(wouldn't be a first) Some blog website last year said Giacchino was the initial composer. Well, in this case, Elfman is listed on IMDb. Many, many assignments change when a film is close to a year away, and often for mundane reasons. The pandas are clouding your mind. ;-) I know this, of course. The earlier post suggested that FSM Online got their info from IMDb, and I pointed out that in this case, they did not. Well, in this case, Elfman is listed on IMDb. It was Giacchino until a few months ago (which led to him being asked on Twitter, as someone else mentioned). Here's hoping for a separate score album. With Despicable Me 3, there was a CD release for the soundtrack and then a digital release for the score was announced right before the movie's release. I imagine the royalty cheques are better! He probably made a fortune from the 3 FIFTY SHADES song albums.
