Tommy Two Times, I like that! I've often wondered if people can make out what I'm saying on our chats, going by the vacant stares sometimes. Now I know! It was good to meet you as well Bill, I enjoyed your whistling along with Thor's harp playing!

It was a cacophony. I did laugh when Tg said "Thor was playing Sicilian clan, Bill was trying badly to whistle For a few Dollars more and big Jim Wilson was playing Fistful of Dollars!! " Lol.

Jim, thank you for remembering that I’d encouraged your compositions all that time ago - I’d quite forgotten, but it shows that the right word at the right time can make a difference. It’s humbling to know that you owe your career to me... big grin

Bought a reasonable amount of beverages today. Just a small bottle of red wine -- the all-too-prevalent Casillero del Diablo -- but several beers. Right now, for example, a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I aim to join Stephen's meeting later, at least for a brief visit, but 10 PM is rather late. I'll probably be too drunk for a "seminar", and disappear from the screens at some point.

In any case, I wanted to alert everyone that the next -- and LAST before 2021 -- "Cheers" get-together is:

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4TH AT 21:00 OSLO TIME.

That's in two weeks' time.

I have a challenge to y'all -- put up some Christmas elements in your Zoom window, in the background or otherwise. And buy some Christmas-themed beverages.

I'll be back with a link in due time.

I will be there! We should have one of our small aluminum trees up by the 4th.

Geez, that looks amazing. Alas, not to be found over here. But the selection of Christmas beers is impressive in our 'wine monopoly' stores. So I'll be sure to have a couple of surprises. I'm not too keen on the dark 'porter' style, though. So one or two will do. Unless I find non-porter Christmas ales, like the one you just posted.

I'll have a look but Christmas beverages aren't really a thing here to my knowledge. Mulled wine might be the extent of it. I'll have to put up a few decorations instead of those photos behind me which Phelps said came with the framesbig grin

Ha, ha....

MULLED WINE is great. We call it 'gløgg' up here, being the barbaric vikings that we are. But it's a hassle to make. Red wine, cinnamon, ginger, almonds, raisins, you name it.

If you're able to make that for the meet, I'm impressed.

Screw all that hassle, I just buy a ready made bottle of it in Marks & Spencer and warm it in the saucepan! Quite nice actually.

True. Marks & Spencer is underrated!

I need to hunt out a Christmas-y jumper for the meet.

I would be interested to hear at the gathering what everyone considers a cracking Christmas tune - film music, non-film music pop song, or otherwise. We may get some geographical differences. So, come prepared!
