Sheff beating Arsenal made laugh but cry too. Not really, but you know what i mean. Looks like sheff are safe this year. They can scrape wins against anyone, it seems. Villa and Norwich look good n spurts and play well but seem more brittle. Hope those two stay up though.
"...VAR fails to spot clear shirt pull in penalty box. Or does it not bother with those? Arse should have had a penalty. Another referee/VAR Failure..."
This. Defo pen. Sheff u are the new stoke. Lot of grappling and shirt holding.
Holy moley! Bolton win 2-0 away at Bristol Rovers. Even though we had three players injured from saturday, taking our injured players into the 12+ numbers. We've been playing very well since Keith Hill took over. Our possession has gone from 30% in games to 60% or more. We've played attacking football, just lacking a striker. Our passes have gone from 35% accurate to 70+ accurate. It's been great. We just lacked a win. It had been coming. Today we got it!
I think a fourth clean sheet in maybe 8 games, too. And we had a striker score, Daryl Murphy, with midfielder Luke Murphy getting the first. Maybe we should just field Murphy's. Anyway, i'm very happy and looking forward to post-match interviews and the usual paltry 2 mins of highlights.
Sol “I’m football’s most modest person” Campbell is appointed Southend manager and inspires them to a 7-1 defeat.
Leeds get a late draw at PNE. Bielsa’s plan is clearly to hover in the play offs and make a late run to the automatic promotion places. The way to do this is to start Bamford in every game.

Southend were down to 10 men after 6 minutes, scored first. I think it was 1-3 when had another man sent off after 56mins for what looked like a yellow not a straight red, then conceded more, including 3 in the last eight minutes.
Thoroughly enjoyable first half of football between Ajax and Chelsea. Fast paced, fearless, end to end. Chelsea would be leading at half time if Hudson-Odoi wasn't so shit and unable to finish his dinner.
Liverpool commentators saying Genk should have had a goal, unless it was from an offside they didn't see. They later said it was correctly disallowed for offside but were fed up at the lengthy stoppage, saying VAR should have dealt with it much quicker.
No goal, anyway. They say Liverpool are showing a bit too much at the back. That's how it's been the last few games, it seems.
Yeah it was offside. Seems to be the Liverpool way these days, playing a high line with full backs well up the pitch and giving the opposition chances. Genk playing well to be fair. Good goal by Ox.
Incidentally I've been in Genk. Not too far from the Dutch border where I lived, in the Belgian side of Limburg.
I'm looking forward to the highlights. The commentators said Oxtail-Chamberlink scored a beaut of a second, but hasn't been in the game too much apart from his goals. They revised that to say he grew into the game after his first goal. And they said Genk were playing well. Seems like a good one to watch.
3-0. Salah to Mane. Seems they overcame a potentially tough night. Noice.
The Ox scored two, and the 2nd one was an absolute beaut. But after he scored the first after 2 mins, I thought he'd found Harry Potter's Invisible Cloak, such was his presence on the pitch, between goal 1 and 2. I thought we were actually quite poor, but luckily the opposition never had enough to make us pay for a laidback, sloppy performance.
I must have misheard about him growing into the game after his first goal then. Ronnie Whelan didn't seem that impressed with his first half performance at all. That second goal was ace. Wveryone seemws to agree Salah had an off night but that mane set-up and his own finish were excellent, so he ended on a high. Shame they conceded at the end though.
In a services on the A1 in Nottingham enjoying a macchiato and who walks in and clears out Greggs but Rotherham United. No wonder they’re not very good.
