Oh yes. Personality comes out in your football. We had a semi-pro bloke like that in our 6 a side games, always shot, never passed. In the end, he hardly ever scored coz everyone knew just block the shot. He never learned n never changed in 20 years.

You know when it's still pleasant - Morry is still out for a mooch.

Morry is so cute. I better never see that you are eating rabbit for dinner.wink

Fall is here. We have brisk, chilly mornings around 45 degrees. Then we are in the 70s in the afternoon. Love this time of year. However, the problem with Fall is that winter is around the corner.

Could never eat rabbit. Though my dad says he'd make a nice pair of gloves! He had his annual needle the other day and the vet said he was in good shape ( and handsome, which he knows ). And just a little weight gain - due to the bird seed he sneaks down him.

No! No rabbit gloves. Glad Morry is healthy.

With Hurricane Helene firing up, the weather here is extremely humid with some light rain and the occasional 34 mph wind gusts. The storm is expected to make landfall closer to FSMers Howard L, Justin Boggan, and gleeful former FSMer OnyaBirri.

Guess it's time to individually wrap some obsolete film score cds in cellophane. wink

I had come home on the Tuesday (was up in New Jersey five days for 50th high school reunion) only to evacuate the next day. Dodged Helene. But must evacuate again in a few hours. Milton looks like the Big One. Tampa Bay hasn’t taken a direct hit in a little over 100 years. Cat 3 predicted at landfall late pm Wednesday/early early a.m. Thursday. Good chance of losing home & everything being left behind, including entire music collection. Too good a chance. Signing off for now…

As Josh said, hang in there, Howard. Fingers crossed that both you and all your belongings come through. Strangely, there is no coverage of this new hurricane in Norway's main broadcaster, but I see it elsewhere.

Quite nice, as I walked around town this lunch-time.
Lovely, when the sun comes out...and very warm for this time of year.
Of course, it won't last, but much better than those pesky storm and flood warnings.

Hoping things don't get too rough for you out there, Howard! Let us know you're okay when you're okay.

Here are some useful resources for tracking the hurricane:

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

https://www.myfoxhurricane.com/index.html

There are also the local news affiliates, which stream live:

https://www.abcactionnews.com/

https://www.fox13news.com/

I live in southeastern Florida, which is outside of the hurricane-force winds (thank goodness). Presently, it is as still and quiet as an FSMer's dating app account, but the humidity is chokingly high.

Miserable? In Liverpool? The weather or the people? Lol

Sunny in south east. I'm at the beach bar having a latte in the sunshine!

Absolutely! Did someone (Jim?) mention some other FSM folks living in Howard's area too, or areas that will be affected by this? Onyabirri?

Going to bed soon over here, but hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow and see that everything is still standing, at least as far as "our people" are concerned.

Any updates from our Florida membership? I see the hurricane has been severely downscaled before it hit the shores (which usually happens, thankfully), but caused some havoc nonetheless.

I've been in touch with OnyaBirri. They've lost power and have had 90mph winds and about 9" of rain, at least from the local weather reports I've seen.

Onya asked if we here near Miami are getting any of this storm. There has been virtually no rain...almost nothing, actually. It's just been breezy...20-25 mph winds; no gusts worth mentioning.

Haven't heard from Howard L.
