I am currently in Malcesine, Italy, and while the weather is rather cool for this time of the year, at least most days are sunny.
All around us are the locations where the opening scene for A QUANTUM SOLACE was filmed; I remember the first time I saw the movie I thought wow, I know these roads and tunnels, as I've been quite often to Lake Garda and Tremosine and Navene etc. Was quite fun that a Bond scene was shot at a location so familiar to me. In fact, they crashed an Aston Martin down into the lake, and you can still see where they had to repair the wall.
Here's a video I took earlier this week, driving through one of the tunnels used in the film.

Nice scenery, not been there myself.

I was wondering if you were filming or driving, but when I saw how much space the cyclists were given I knew you were filming.

That said, I’m a bit concerned about the final cyclist - the end of the clip was suspiciously abrupt.

Haha... yeah, I was filming, my wife was the one who was driving; nevertheless, the cyclists all escaped with their lives intact. As far as I could tell.

Are Howard, Jim and the other Floridians OK after the storm that hit recently?

No storms here, but today was the first major day of autumn. Woke up to properly yellow leaves all around (they were greenish yesterday!), temps lowered to about 10C and greyness all around. Shorts need to be tucked away. The wait for spring has begun, and the dread of winter.

Pissing down since yesterday. On for the rest of the day. It great being retired and looking through the window. And laughing to myself, thinking of my poor ex colleagues. I'm awful, aren't I. smile

No, you can do this for 20 years and it never gets boring. I feel the same whenever I hear about traffic jams going into London! Lol.

Rain for a change, last night and today. October has arrived a day early frown

Thank you for asking. I'm on the Miami side (southeast coast). Luckily, all we got were some 30 mph gusts and a few rain squalls. I did get a paid day off from work, though. smile

It's lovely in the sun. Bit of a nip in the air, when in shade, but it is October (a rare month for boys).
We're getting the Northern Lights as well, this weekend.
I saw them about two weeks ago, driving home after playing football on a Thursday night (59 and still got it).
They're like cloud snakes in the sky.
We only see them in shades of grey and white (it's generally cameras that pick up the vibrant colours).
We watched them in upper Finland a few years back.

Haha!
I'm the oldest by 10 years.
Couple of lads I used to work with are in their 40s (one is gonna be 50 right soon)
The rest run between 25-40 (and run a lot faster too).
It's a good game and keeps me on my toes (I must be blessed with good genes...Levi Strauss) big grin

Kev, is it like that walking football advert where they all miss the ball with airshots and it rolls into the empty net? Lol

The youngest lad who plays (occasionally) is on the books at Lancaster City.
He's ridiculously good, compared to a lot of the others there, but he's also ridiculously greedy, which can irk other players on his team (when in a good position having made a run) and can lead to their downfall.
We won last week (against the team he was in) and some of it was down to him not passing when he should have and vice versa.
Oh, the arrogance of youth wink
