Liverpool finally signed Thiago, be interesting to see if he goes straight into the team. I'm a bit surprised at them signing Jota from Wolves, especially for that supposed fee.
Jota was only 30 mill, as that young Dutch defender (J Edgar Hoover?) went the other way for around 15 mill. But yeah, I thought we were more likely to get that human battering ram Traore from Wolves, than Jota.
Some controversy. Palace awarded debatable penalty, De Gea saves from Ayew, Palace get retake because De Gea was off his line, and Zaha scores it. Gary Neville is going ballistic.
Bolton lose 2-0 at Colchester. Lowest league position in our history - 21st in League Two. Apparently, we played either okay or rubbish depending on who you listen to. Last year our manager got Barrow promoted from non-league. He was 6 points after 7 games, so hopefully that's the case with us and our squad of strangers just need to get into the swing of things.
VAR embarrassing again west ham clearly should have had a penalty. Again what's the point. He elbowed it clear. Making Palace retake that penalty was another pile of absolute garbage.
More refereeing incompetence in the Villa game. Sheff Utd have a man sent off for pulling back the striker 30 yards out with the ball running away from him. Villa don't have a man sent off for fouling a player in the box 7 yards out denying a very clear goalscoring opportunity.
VAR tech isn't the problem, it's the chimps running it and the wankers in black and various colours officiating. Unless a game runs itself they prove themselves useless in almost every match.
