In the UK the death toll is getting a fair bit of media attention Jackfu. To be honest, the media isn't talking about anything else, and I think the incessant focus on the subject could be disheartening and worrying for a lot of people and the news should,' lighten up' and shift onto some good news stories, if there are any. The forthcoming re-election of Trump must be good news in the US.... That will keep Fox and CNN busy, but over here we just have the Royal Family and the budget, and the budget was focused on Coronovirus. What is happening here in the UK is that the government has accepted the scientific advice and will, basically, let the virus slowly spread and infect the population and kill thousands of people. This is best for the economy and because the population need to build up immunity and can only do that by getting the virus. This may sound flippant, but it is true. I don't blame the government. If they ignored the science and things went wrong they would get the blame. Now when things go wrong they can blame the boffins. The alternative would be to do what Russia did a month ago and close its borders. No deaths there. But that would upset a lot of people and of course you couldn't close your borders in perpetuity..... At some point they would have to reopen and the virus would them get in. Of course by the time Russia reopens its borders the worst of it could be over and a 'cure' could have been found. I would rather have gone for the Russia approach rather than the do nothing option. If a lot of people lose loved ones in this it will be the end for Boris.

According to the site Deputy Riley provided, so far this year over 95,000 people have died from seasonal flu, including 892 today. Yet coronavirus gets all the press. https://www.worldometers.info/ Oh, and there's only 43 years of oil left. Coronavirus is far from over. And, it spreads much faster than the traditional flu.

There is only one way to handle this crisis: the Irwin Allen way. If that's how you stop killer bees, that's how you stop Covid-19. Hell, yeah!

How many people have been infected by seasonal flu and how many by corona virus? This information is as sober as Mr. Orange's claim, that virus will 'miraculously' go away in April. Coronavirus- Cases- 138,959 Deaths- 5,116 Recovered- 70,727 Seasonal Flu- Every year an estimated 290,000 to 650,000 people die in the world due to complications from seasonal influenza (flu) viruses.
