Storage is always a problem to me, living and consuming alone.

I'm considering buying a 3 litre 'bag in the box' of my favourite red wine for the upoming Easter days (when all alcoholic beverages are inaccesible in stores), but do I manage to drink it while it's fresh? Same for beer too. If I'm storing beer -- any kind of beer, really -- for more than two weeks, even in the fridge, it turns yeasty and horrible.

Happy National Beer Day for those in the United States, or anyone else who likes beer! Anyone going to knock back a cold one (or six) to celebrate?

Myself, I have a couple of crowlers in the fridge delivered from local microbrewery Calicraft. http://www.calicraft.com

There is Saturn's Rings

and People's IPA

Decisions, decisions . . .

Mosaic. Another great American hop. Keep 'em comin' guys.

National Beer Day. What a wonderful idea. Even lovelier is that you get to call the day before New Beer's Eve! Lol. Brilliant.

Would anyone be up for meeting tonight?

The Zoom get-together on the other side is too big. Too many people. I'd like to do one just for us, as we've talked about. If it's too short notice, we can schedule one for next Friday. I can do one in two hours, i.e. 22:00 for me; 13:00 for anyone living in LA and 16:00 for New York.

If not, we can organize one next Friday (unless I'm invited outdoors for a real-life get-together; that always gets first priority). You'd need to sign up first, if you don't have it: https://zoom.us/signup

Great idea. Unfortunately, I am teleworking today and will still be on the clock when the meeting is scheduled. Much as I would love to have a beer at that time, it would not be a particularly good career move. The weekend works better for me, or perhaps later in the day on a weekday? For those able to join, have fun!

No, it's too short notice for everyone. I realize that now.

Let's try to make this happen next week. Friday night is ALWAYS the best time for me, but I realize it's not for everyone else. Could we try Wednesday? I'll try to create a link that you all could work.

I'd be happy to join in. Does that mean I have to have a drink on Wednesday night too thenbig grin

We won't be discussing film scores the entire time? I mean that would just be boring...

God no. Let's not discuss film music all the time. I'll look into an option for a meeting on Wednesday; will be back with more info soon.

Is this still on for Friday?

Well, I had intended to check out the 'big' Zoom get-together on the other side, but I'm not sure if it's happening tonight or not. I've asked, and waiting for a response. If not, I'm all for setting up one just for us in the "Cheers" thread on short notice.

Alright, so there is apparently no big Zoom get-together tonight after all. I completely miscalculated that one.

But I can do one for us tonight, if anyone is up for it? I can do one at 21:00 local time, which would be 12:00 Los Angeles time and 15:00 New York time. How does that sound? It would be too early for Australians, but I don't believe we have any of those in this thread.

No response, but I'm going to try anyway. Being impulsive and all.

At 21:00 local time (i.e. 2 and a half hours from now), you can click on the following link for a Zoom chat (obviously, you have to download Zoom first):

https://us04web.zoom.us/j/4386804511?pwd=ZXRYeFJtem5rUTlOTVFoNWRSS28xdz09

I'll put this on the other side too, this once.

Zoom gives me this info, don't know if you need it:

Meeting ID: 438 680 4511
Password: 4HnqgN

Zoom get together sounds like fun, but I can't make it. I am still working, and I can't imagine going to a Cheers! zoom meeting without a beer to drink. Enjoy to those who attend.

No problem, I understand, Michael.

Alas, I can't think of a point-in-time where San Fransisco time and Oslo time overlaps in terms of drinks, but we'll see what happens.

Today is the "big" get-together on other side, and this time I have it CONFIRMED (as opposed to last week, when I misunderstood): https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=139896&forumID=1&archive=0

So I'm going to check that out.

Yeah, I was just wondering what was happening tonight. I knew that the "big" one was starting at 9 tonight (10 for me, Thor and others - and afternoon cocktail time for some US-based lounge lizards). I'm going to register for Stephen's party, but I think he'll probably want to close the bar early, since he's hosting another one tomorrow night and/or Sunday (I think).

Anyway, hope to see you all at the bar, even if we can't get a word (or a song) in edgeways due to the crowds of people.

What? That's too much. Or maybe it was to accomodate the Australian folks and all that.

Either way, I'm not going to attend all of them. Now and then, perhaps, but I hope to have our smaller, wonkier one here in the "Cheers" thread as as well, in between or instead of Stephen's. I really enjoyed the 'pub'-like atmosphere last Friday, whereas Stephen's seems more like a big disco. I'll find out tonight.

I might have misunderstood his post. Maybe he was just suggesting some ideas. See you at the disco! If it closes early we could all spontaneously carry on at Thor's house, if he lets us in.
