They all look great. Careful, some of em are like, 7.7! But another hop favourite. Mosaic! Love em. SOOOO easy to see why the IPA fad has taken root.

There's a silver lining behind every cloud..... for now. With it being my birthday tomorrow (cheers guys and gals) I looked into my local brewery's delivery services, and party size beer vessels. The result is that I've bagged myself 10 litres of Barnsley Gold from the lovely Acorn Brewery! The owner himself delivered it today to my door... at a safe distance in plastic gloves of course. This is beer-in-a-box. A plastic bag within a cardboard box that just needs to settle overnight. So it's on draught not bottle. A step closer to my memories of the pub. Tomorrow I'll have pints of one of my fave beers to pour from the tap. Marvelous. So of course there'll be no restaurant, no friends or relatives. Just me and the wife and enough real ale to keep me going for a few days. Other good news.. we think.. is that Indian Takeaways are still delivering too. So it should be a fun packed evening for the two of us. The good lady even got me a family pack of pork scratchings to go with it, lol! https://acorn-brewery.co.uk/beer/barnsley-gold/ https://acorn-brewery.co.uk/buy-our-beer?beer-referrer=Barnsley%20Gold Sorry Thor. But this means that per pint it works out at about £1.50!

Looks good Paul. Wish I could join you for a pint. The local microbrewery that is walking distance from my house is offering six packs and pre-filled crowlers for pick up, and they are talking about the possibility of delivery. For those who haven't heard of them, a crowler is draft beer that is poured into a large aluminum can and sealed. It is generally done to order, and is put together pretty quickly. These have become pretty popular with microbreweries around here. Anyway, the microbrewery makes some great stuff, so I should show them some support.

I'd open a speakeasy in my basement, but it would probably only attract grubby FSM basement wankers and not glorified Mafia types and good-looking whores. Love it. Kev, I quite understand why it's happened if they've been operating as a normal pub. They have to play within the rules and guidelines. The Maison I mentioned is I believe still operating as a shop only with all the rules in place. Same with the beer I had delivered. The landlord of The Crown a couple of weeks ago was saying he was considering opening the back door for regulars only with all sorts of ways to use good practice. In the end it was simply too difficult to do and simply took the official step. It's one thing to find ways to carry on enjoying the things we love, but another to ignore rules of simple safety. For all our sakes. Blimey I'd give it all up if it means we can beat this thing. And Michael, I too wish you could join me for a pint. Same goes for everyone on here. We did make a small inroad towards this thanks to a certain god of thunder, lol. Who knows what opportunities will present themselves one day.
