Why are James Bond songs bad on purpose?

Especially the John Barry ones.

Songs don't interest me much Bond lyrics for most part were awful JB instrumentation was cool, 60s 70s movies had some cool lyrics that worked, 1 song in 80s, none since don't need anymore.

Holy crap was Roger Waters ugly! The group was justified in replacing his hideousness as Pink Floyd frontman with the comparatively dreamy Dave Gilmour! big grin

Ouch, dude!
But I will say that Waters was definitely someone who had to "grow" into his looks.

I loved Barry White before he gave up singing, shaved off his beard and went on as Oprah Winfrey.

That new E.T. Xfinity "reunion" commercial is laughably stupid and sticky-sweet; but perfect for those who actually like that piss-poor movie.
