What are you people talking about? The BBC has been shown to be anything but Anti-Brexit in their coverage, which you can easily work out from the regular speakers on news programmes and researching the career paths of some of those in charge of programming and their news output. I get it that a lot of you in the north voted to leave, but some others of us didn't.
Has this new football thread taken a decidedly political turn?

Nah just a blip. I just got annoyed the D-Day coverage was being hijacked briefly with some odd asides. It was too overt and ham-fisted. So I just stopped watching. I shouldn't have mentioned it. I was thinking more broadcasting bollocks than political bilge when I originally posted.
I hope that the "ire" for World Cup winner Thierry Henry extends to the "Hand of God" goal by legendary cheater, flopper, and all around scumbag Diego Maradona. Some English folk--media drones, mostly--are still in awe of that goal; "It all smacks of self hatred!" said Dr. Freud.
Support your local STAR WARS film. Go see THE RISE OF SKYWALKER at a cinema near you this December. Soundtrack by John Williams, available on Disney Records (sold separately).

His amazing slalom goal is pretty weak all things considered. I don't think there's one tackle and he bests Terry Fenwick twice. Any of us could go that now. There's many better goals before and since.

I'll get the soundtrack but probably not listen to it or not really notice in the film like the last two.
Moving swiftly along from my previous comment, I remember posting about the Terry Henry handball in one of our football threads from years ago so it's good to see the "Hand of Le Frog" hasn't been forgotten. Smug prat!!
FIFA actually made a donation to the FAI of a few million euro at the time to "compensate" them.

I bought the last 2 CDs as well and have listened to them once! I might watch the movie when it comes on SKY and if I'm bored some night

Ermmm ...arent you....living in spain Thomas?!!
Usually the bbc repeatedly tells us the nazis did this...the nazis did that....for 70 years we fought the Germans...not anymore it seems. Only the nazis.
I think Richard attenborough's big X said it best. "Look, sir, you talk about the High Command and the Luftwaffe, and then you talk about the Gestapo and the SS. To me, they're the same! We're fighting the bloody lot! There's only one way to put it, sir: they are the common enemies of everyone who believes in freedom. If the High Command didn't approve of Hitler, then why didn't they throw him out?"
Btw sterling's pr have put it out that hes captain for tomorrows match - but there had been no confirmation from southgate n england. Could be a bit previous.
I didn't think they were necessarily no good, but I can only take so much Star Wars music
I think I listened to force awakens over fifty times and still couldn't remember it after twenty minutes later. But it did get better. I think I bought last Jedi but never listened to it. But William's has base level of quality.

I never knew they made a donation. My oneIrish mate goes livid very quick whenever that handball is mentioned.
