Octoberdog, but only for his connections to hot Ukrainian women.
Second Henry, cause I like his enthusiasm for all things nerdy.

henry, because he seems like an easy-going friendly guy.

Also Solium (AKA, Marine Boy); He too, seems like a basically good guy.

I could, and do, say the same about you my friend. I’d also like to add Ado, Josh and Zooba among others to the list.

For me, hands down it would be Manderley. He doesn’t post much nowadays but, of all the members of this board, I’ve learned more from him about film music and the industry in general than anyone else. We’ve interacted a few times here and I felt we might be kindred spirits. I’d love to meet him, take him to lunch and thank him for all the knowledge he’s bestowed here.

I’m not one of the nasty people? You’re killing my street cred!
But thanks for the invite, I’d expect.

I've already "hung out" with two FSMers: the late OnyaBirri and my colleague in all things 1965-75, Rollin Hand.

I've also had the pleasure of sitting in on several Zoom chats hosted by Thor and by Bill Carson. I've enjoyed it all, even the insults and the barely-concealed hostility. wink

Oh, the list of FSMers I've ALREADY hung out with has become long over the years. Just using whoever's posted in this thread as an example, there are a few:

I almost met Josh in San Diego, but that somehow fell through. Can't remember why. I think he hated me at the time. wink

I've met Sir David of Garland twice - once in San Francisco, once in London.

I've hung out with Francis a few times. Shame he doesn't hang out here anymore. We went to the salt mines in Krakow together, and we both got fined for not stamping our bus ticket.

Met drivingmissday in Los Angeles during his film score shindig in 2012 (at Morricone's place -- the board member, not the composer).

Met riotengine in San Francisco (same meeting as I first met David). Bruce Marshall was also there, and the departed Basil Wrathbone, and Michael Scorefan. Basil gave me a CD of the Baxter/Piccioni TORA! TORA! There was heart behind his gruff exterior.

TallGuy twice - once in Newcastle, another in London (also with David). One of my favourite people.

And of course, while not technically IRL, there are the Zoom chats with Jim, Onyabirri, Bill and others. No scandals so far, at least not in the ones I've hosted. Would have loved to meet these guys IRL; same with frequent Zoom participant Alan (Falkirkbairn). We've interacted so many times over the years, I feel like we've practically met IRL. But we haven't.

There was a bit of scandal the night you disappeared to the toilet and never reappeared, leaving us all worried what had happened to you!

And yes always good to see Alan on there, haven't heard from him in a long time so hope he's well.
