"There's no Chelsea or Manchester City players involved in this game, having played in the Champions League final on Saturday."

England XI: Pickford, Alexander-Arnold, Trippier, Rice, Mings, Coady, Saka, Bellingham, Kane, Grealish, Lingard.

Subs: Calvert-Lewin, Johnstone, Godfrey, Phillips, White, Watkins, Ward-Prowse, Henderson, Sancho, Ramsdale.

Yup.

Frankly it's a weird eleven. It's nowhere near our starting eleven. I understand they want to rest City and Chelsea players, but still... will our starting eleven only get one friendly together before the tournament begins?

To be contrarian I'm watching the Nederland V Scotland game, and I've noticed that 9 of the Scottish starting lineup are current or past Celtic players. The 2 that aren't are Cooper from Leeds and Dykes from QPR. Good luck there then.

Oh, Scots just scored...

Dutch made 2 subs after half an hour. Stupid friendlies.

It's quite painful watching this England...B team...England 1.5...?
Toiling against a pedestrian, robust Austrian team, who have gone close (to an equaliser) themselves a few times.
I missed the England goal.
Tbh, I haven't paid that much attention to the game, it's just kinda on in the background.

Austria just missed a sitter in the 88th minute.
Should be 1-1.
And TAA looks like he's injured* (and got booked for being injured too).
Fuck Off England.
I hope Jordan Henderson pulls out and then they can do what the fuck they like mad

*I hope Trent has booked a nice holiday and watches the Euros from a nice bar in Spain or Portugal.

TAA has a quad tear. Out for six weeks.

Ward-Prowse or Lingard to replace?

Away from the Euros, Stephen Kenny has won his first match as Ireland manager. 1-4 v Andorra - though Andorra scored first!

England will need too step-up a few notches if they want to win the euros because they could get punished for slackness - that match against Austria don't mean anything I got faith in this team.

The problem is no-one really puts faith in youth, just ask Klopp, that is always the case most managers the selectors & public always want old-horses that have already been tried & failed, got to respect Southgate's selection like his world-cup team that come close.

According to reports, Henderson hasn't recovered from injury fully and may not play in the opening game v Croatia. He may yet miss the whole tournament.

"He may yet miss the whole tournament"
--------------------
I live in hope.
He's obviously not full fit. Why risk it?
I'm surprised LFC let him join up with the squad.
