A few years back, I purchased a book of the works of Gustave Dore, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. I always liked the look of his drawings for some reason. Do his works count?
Of course it does. I haven't dismissed anything here, though my personal emphasis is on Modern Art, I've already stated that the likes of Frank Frazetta and Ralph McQuarrie are heroes of mine.

McQuarrie is a hero of mine as well, as I've probably stated somewhere on this board before. Same goes for Frazetta.
That lurid cover drew me in, but it's not available through interlibrary loan. Dang!
I got a different book through the library, about McGinnis' paperback covers. I learned that he painted a cover that I've remembered my whole life since I saw it.
It was a "stand-up" in the bookstore when the novel came out. It hit me between the eyes and made me dizzy.

THE new book has a reproduction of this and mentions that "nervous retailers' put a sticker on the cover that obscured some of the man's posterior (also pictured) So, David did you see the original or the 'censored' version?
More sensational confessions. "Babes at the Museum" is a novel concept in that it combines great art with beautiful women who'd give me the brush off like Allan Felix in "Play it Again, Sam":
