Dodgy var. I think goal disallowed just for being messy. Dreary game. But then when tournament includes more crap teams, you get more massacres. In the words of germans. "Weck mich auf, wenn der Knock-out beginnt"

Well, it's safe to say neither of the teams of the opening match will take home the cup.

Thou shalt not discuss politics, but how in this case? I'm usually not that interested in soccer, but the world cup was always some kind of special event. This time, however, it feels totally wrong. It has rightfully been boycotted by the media. The idea that a sports event could help to connect people is an illusion anway. They have repeatedly been used by inhuman regmines for propaganda - that's it. The "good" thing is that most of the western world won't give a damn for a event of this kind during the Christmas season anyway. R.I.P for all the people who died under inhuman and fascistic regmines in the past and in the present.

I'm just here to discuss the actual games. The politics is quite a different matter. I discuss that aspect elsewhere though, lest this will become a long discussion and debate about religion, politics, and culture (wars). (As that is not wished here for a variety of reasons, which I don't necessarily all share, but respect.)

As expected inconsistent var decisions over wrestling in the Penalty area, a bear hug on maguire not a pen but a fairly feeble shirt pull is? Ref pretty much let them persistently foul n kick england at will with only a few reluctant yellows.
