Leeds getting £45m from the oilers for Phillips. So that's 4 big money signings they've made so far...

I’m sorry to see him go, but he deserves a big money move and of all English clubs, Citeh or Liverpool are the least painful. I always knew he wouldn’t go to Villa or Newcastle, either would have been a smack in the face for us. Best of luck to him. £45m is poor business on our part though.

Raphina next?

We need £120m in total for them. More should have been attainable.

Will Phillips get much game time at Citeh? I can't imagine Guardiola playing him and Rodri in midfield together much, and I assume Rodri will usually be first choice.

Yes i saw we have a "friendly" against rangers.

Looks like Mark Warburton will be back at Ibrox too, having been appointed first-team assistant coach at West Ham. Should be a good replacement for Stuart Pearce. Good luck to him.

Yeah 45m is cheap for phillips at his best but that may well depend on how long is contract is remaining as leeds could be a year or so from losing him for free? Dont know. Tg?
Good point thomas, - such a common thing with man city n chelsea, as we have said, they buy up everyone and those players have a miserable 2 years on the bench n playing league cup, lose international place, become forgotten men, and then go on loan go aston villa or bluenoses.
Going to a big club is rarely the "great move" players expect.

I don't know how I missed this, but on 14 June, Vincent Kompany was announced as Burnley's new manager.

"Vincent Kompany's Burnley"...

Strange appointment. He didn't do much at Anderlecht, took them to a third place finish in a league which is traditionally a two horse race.

I always knew they were innocent.
And that they don't have any incriminating evidence on the rat's...err, their mates that cleared them.
No dodgy deals going on at UEFA or FIFA.
Nothing to see here.

Raphinha to join barca 55m?

Been a done deal all summer, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. He would only have gone to Barca, the Chelsea thing was a nonstarter. Could have wished for a bit more dosh for him. However, he behaved impeccably, none of this not turning up for training crap that some of the overpaid over-entitled tossers do to get out of a club. He didn’t fly to Oz for the pre-season tour, but he still turned up for training at Thorp Arch like a good ‘un.

Both he and Kelvin will be missed, but their destinations are acceptable and they go with our blessing.
