I almost never look back at a thread I created because most people send me e-mail responses.
My e-mail responses are nicer and less rude than what I sometimes read directly on the FSM board. Geez.

Oh, I'd just love it if people here had my personal email! Yikes!

Yeah, none of you are getting my personal email address. I don't have a problem with usernames.
But if we're going to have an open dialog then it's gonna be on the pubic forum.

OMG, Sol's on FIRE lately!
Watch out, everyone!

See you at the Mai-Kai, onya. wink

When are you going?

I'll be there for my birthday around the third week of August but seeing as I live just outside of Fort Lauderdale, I can be there any old time. smile

Be sure to get to the Molokai bar for happy hour, in plenty of time before the dinner show.

And take Lyft, Uber, or a cab. wink

When is someone going to invent grammar checker?

I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale -- for twenty-five years! WHAT A DUMP!

And the Mai-Kai? Local tourist trap. However, I did enjoy the poo poo platter there a few times, and the girls are nice to look at.

Do you all know the Mai-Kai used to be the furthest thing west in Ft. Lauderdale? Of course, that was back in the days when they shot the original WHERE THE BOYS ARE there, back in better days.

This is a pubic forum. Everyone needs to be picked up by their short hairs.

You realize that it is the last surviving of the grand Polynesian restaurant palaces of the 20th Century?

And until the cocktail revival, it was the last place on earth that served rum drinks with authentic Don the Beachcomber/Trader Vic recipes.

Hardly a tourist trap.

I was most recently there this past May and indulged in that two-for-one and half-off appetizers deal they have. The Barrel o' Rum is a delight.

OK, OK, I'll be nice. I haven't been back -- and don't want to anymore -- to Ft. Lauderdale since '08. Maybe they've fixed it up some. Doesn't matter anyway, with global warming and rising oceans, the entire place will be underwater in a few decades. And wait until the big hurricane hits.

That's what finally did the place in for me, that hurricane back in '05. Plus the area I lived was N.E. Ft. Lauderdale, and it's all getting too gentrified and the traffic! Oh, the traffic! Only thing worse down there -- Miami.

Now, I live in North Carolina -- with the hillbillies and their bathroom issues. What a country!

All right for you guys who abandon your own threads, ha, sometimes I think I'm the opposite i.e. all-time thread killer. You know how many posts have DIED like after I've responded? Sometimes I think I should change my user name to Mengele. Or Szell. Pretty sure there's an old thread somewhere about this but why resurrect it only to reply and kill the damn thing again?! frown

And here I thought *I* was the Dr. Kevorkian of FSM threads. Don't feel too bad, Howard L. What you just described sounds just like me!! I make a point (or attempt to at least), or ask a question that I feel is pertinent to the conversation, only to have the thread slowly slip to the bottom of the page like an old ship sinking to a watery grave.

Have you seen this Wombat? Wanted for Thread Manslaughter!!

Seriously, I've killed so many threads I've lost count. That's why I've only *started* about two or three of them in the entire time I've been posting here at FSM, although I've often wanted to start them on topics I thought might be interesting.

Or it could be that some of us are just so brimming with brilliance that our "final nail in the coffin" posts are like the perfect ending to a perfect film. No more needs to be said. It's Chinatown, Jake.

THE END

Well you should, considering that I answered that topic's question in a mere sentence.

I can't wait until you pukes abandon my upcoming MAD MEN re-watch project thread. I'm looking forward to your indifference.

Hey howard and jenk - you wanna talk thread killer????? Im yer man.
The Carson name shows last on more sunken threads than anyone in the history of soundtracks.
If you two and El bruco are the lookouts on the crows nest of fsm threads, iam the fkn hull-crusher iceberg!

No way, I even kill RIP threads and that's about as low and redundant as it gets. 'S watch out for HL, the iceman cometh!eek

You can't wait to ignore the thread or you can't wait to actually contribute? Whatever the case, I will soldier on in this upcoming endeavor. smile
