Wonder how thomas is doing with no pub? ----------------------- He'll be Hunting High & Low for a boozer that's open.
Haha. Funny enough, I can just cross over the border into another jurisdiction where all the pubs appear to be open. The Sun Always Shines On Thomas
I've had to get myself some cans of Draught Guinness to drink in the house tomorrow (Public Holiday here, I'm not actually an alcoholic). It's gonna be the worst St Patrick's Day ever.
At least that is a sensible decision and offers domestic leagues less pressure and can finish in their own time.
It'll be crap but i think id like to see behind closed doors games on tv than none at all. We could have a live game a day if they spread fixtures out. Equally if they test the footballers on a regular basis then it keeps them all safe. It is a job to them and i bet most players would vote to play.
The only problem comes is if a lot of players in the same team come down with it. But then thats happened before with some of a squad being ill with flu or norovirus. Equally they could isolate them from families for a month, be like being on tour!
Personally being our national game i think its imperative they get the games on as soon as possible - it would be a massive lift in such grim times. The nation's mood needs it more than ever.
Have to disagree with you Bill. I tried to watch a couple of games last week that were played behind closed doors and it was awful. Hearing every shout from the players and coaching staff was just plain wrong. The crowds ARE the atmosphere. Plus, the clubs would still lose shitloads from the lack of ticket sales and match day takings. Just finish the various leagues when things return to a semblance of normal and then take it from there.
I'm watching the March tournament of Grand Sumo on NHK News Channel. It's from Osaka, and the first time it's been fought behind closed doors. There's no atmosphere whatsoever and makes it feel just like a training session.
Saw a funny thing on AFTV yesterday when they were talking about Aubamayang and trying to tie him down to a new contract. It was suggested that they offer him a contract worth 100,000 toilet rolls a week.

Nothing happened re Pogba, Xeb. I was just reading about him today and couldn't believe all the fuss and nonsense about a player who's bang average, never takes over a game and has hardly won a thing, if anything at all. It was just a WTF moment.
